A lovely, cozy little town with a renowned private college and thriving, historic main street/downtown.
The beautiful old homes - relaxing walking tours. Lots of parks for kids to play, including disc golf. Good public library with a children's play section. Huge scenic dog park with separate space for small dogs. County parks with miles of boardwalks and walking trails through marsh and woods. County parks with miles of biking trails that connect small towns. Historic downtown with antique stores and restaurants just three blocks from our house. Wisconsin's deepest lake is six miles away in Green Lake - lots of beaches and CLEAN water. Wisconsin's largest weekly outdoor flea market is in Princeton, just 25 minutes down the road. If you make it there for the flea market, make sure you try the monster burger at the American Legion post on the edge of Princeton. Princeton is a mecca of antique stores.

You can walk everywhere in town, or even to nearby towns accessed by forested trail or by country road. I particularly enjoy the twelve mile walk from Ripon to Berlin through the nature preserves. Taxi service is available, or you can bicycle: we can provide 2 adult bikes, 2 children’s bikes, and a children's trailer that holds 2 and a children's tag-along that holds one. Ripon Taxi info: as of March 28, 2023, a trip in town costs $4.75, or $6.00 after 10pm.
