Work or Play is a downstairs apartment with lots of natural light, its own driveway and entrance, located in a residential neighborhood. A short drive to restaurants, grocery store and the beautiful town of Steilacoom with its great water views. The living room has a 65 inch smart TV and comfy couch. The cute kitchenette is complete with a 2 burner induction stove top, dining table and office space. The bedroom opens to your laundry room, bathroom and back door to fenced sitting area. The words often used to describe this apartment is comfy, cozy and relaxing. Hence it feels like a Home Away From Home. The living room has plenty of seating and the dining table opens up so 4 can sit. So even when you have a couple people or family over for dinner it’s still cozy but not cramped.

Listing was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean, easy parking and entry, quiet at night. Safe neighborhood a few minutes from anywhere you would want to go. I would absolutely stay again!
This place was so homey to me and my girlfriend even just for the one night we stayed. Susi was such a thoughtful host, she went above and beyond and even put out extra towels, a bed along with food and water dishes and potty bags for our dog in case of a mess. The rain shower was really nice and they even left out fresh eggs and waters for us. This place was amazing and I would love to stay again!
We were in town for a concert at the Tacoma Dome and this location was the perfect place for our trip!! It was a spacious, peaceful and private home away from home! A short drive from the Tacoma Dome and other attractions without the hassle of traffic! Definitely will book again for our next trip!!

This was one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at! We were in town for a wedding and stayed for one night, but I wish we had more time. This was such a cozy and clean space. If we didn’t have to be up super early the next morning, I think me and my husband would’ve spent a couple hours of a mini date night cozy in the living room! You can tell they put in the time and effort into making this feel like a home away from home. We loved every part of our stay. And Susi was so responsive and sweet! We appreciate you welcoming us into your place! Also, slept like a baby. Bed was super comfortable, which is a super plus for one.

Quiet residential neighborhood ideal for walking your dog, but just a short drive to restaurants, golf course, spa, and the Puget Sound.
The driveway on the left of the house is for guests use. It easily accommodates 2 cars.
There is a city bus stop at the corner. Unless you are going into Steilacoom (great restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, post office) or Safeway you would need to do transfers.
There is a 7–11 within walking distance but there are no sidewalks along that road.

Our Airbnb was very much a collaborative effort with Chuck and myself. I am a retired Postal worker so I am home most of the time making sure everything goes smoothly for our guests. Chuck did most of all the remodel of the apartment. I love being outside, either gardening, yard work or hanging with my chickens, taking care of our dogs and cat. I would never have imagined my retirement was going to be running an Airbnb and raising chickens.
