The hosts are nice people. However, this house and environment really need maintenance. Always messy, and dirty, with rotten, moulded and cluttered stuff in the kitchen, fridge, and laundry space. I tried to clean for them as a guest in the first two weeks. Then the hosts felt uneasy and bought more stuff to stuff back. I realised that my presence of trying to be clean caused their uneasiness as the control of power wasn't in theirs. I was very sick of constantly asking them to mow the half people's high lawn 3 times and keep asking them to clean the rubbish. They would say “Ain't you want to clean it? “. At one stage, I also felt that I became the host to advise backpackers where to go and chat with them. Being kind isn't an issue, just it was not my job. The lounge with telly access was right next to the hosts’ workstation and they were always there. Not many guests dare to use the room including me. I hope the hosts can shower everyday for every guest's sense of smell and comfort.
