Hey, I'm Archie! I've been incredibly lucky to have a very colourful and interesting life! I grew up in New York and have travelled all over the world, having spent two of the best years of my life in India, where I learnt the language and set up a factory, a village co-operative working with women in North Delhi. India still has a very, special place in my heart. I've worked for myself since I was 20, first hair braiding on the streets in Oxford, where I was at Uni and then I ran market stalls in Camden, Portobello. I simply sold everything I owned in the world when I was 22, got on a plane on my own and flew to India to set up a company. £1,000 to set up a business and £600 to live off!. I ended up manufacturing fashion accessories (bindis) for fashion retailers like Miss Selfridge & Top Shop, then brought out the first henna kit after Madonna did her video frozen. I was then a henna tattoo artist and had a big team of guys and girls who I trained up as artists and we'd do 80 festivals a year! When I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my son and still henna tattooing..... I knew my work had to change! Thanks to the entertainers I'd met through being a corporate henna artist working at parties, I next set up a small entertainment agency, which over the next twelve years grew into a large international corporate and Talent booking agency, London-based office, giving work to over 6,000 artists a year! I sold the company in September 2016 to be able to spend more time with my son. Today I have a holiday let business with properties right by the sandy beaches of Margate, Kent. UK. I have a quirky home in trendy Trinity Square right by the Winter Gardens with sea views as well as a gorgeous 110 year old Dutch Barge moored in Sandwich Marina. I also own a peaceful holiday apartment on the beach in Dahab, Egypt also available to book on Airbnb. I am currently sourcing another boat! I live in Sandwich Marina on a boat and love living on the water, it's very peaceful and a simple life, but after working for many hard years I am enjoying a quieter, slower pace of life with my gorgeous Labrador Bolt. I love service. I truly believe in the concept of Airbnb, it's so much more personable than staying in a lifeless hotel and confined to your room! I have a huge life motto, I believe it so much, I've had it tattooed on my shoulder...... and it reads "Everything Happens for a Reason" and I truly, truly believe this. Life is full of ups and downs, of laughter and tears, but by seeing the positives even in the most overwhelming moments of sadness, life makes sense. Thank you for reading and I hope we get to meet!
