This charming cottage is completely unique having the old Redcastle ruin as a back drop and views of the Beauly Firth directly in front. There is an idyllic stream going through the garden and we have recently planted a wild flower meadow at the end of the garden. It has been beautifully refurbished in 2023 and we feel incredibly proud of the results. The cottage is located in the sleepy hamlet of Milton of Redcastle and really is an idyllic and very comfortable place to come and unwind. This cottage will offer a really memorable stay. There is a small hallway for boots and coats. A cosy sitting room with a quality wood burning fire awaits and a modern and fully equipped kitchen (with fabulous coffee machine!) is waiting for you with views of the Firth and the castle from each window! Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both ensuite with superking beds and the most comfortable Emma mattresses! The Egyptian cotton linen and super soft towels will make your stay extra cosy and there is a relaxing day bed and little reading corner in the corridor if you wish. This really is a cottage with so much character and charm - all newly refurbished and tastefully styled, not to mention the unique location on the beautiful Redcastle estate. We are a 10 minute drive from Inverness (Tesla car charging station is a 10 minute drive away!) if you did need anything from good old M&S but then come quickly back to this little paradise and escape all that hustle and bustle. We really look forward to welcoming you!

The cottage is absolutely beautiful. One feels at home instantly. 15 mn from Inverness less than half an hour from Loch Ness activities it’s is perfect for a family of 4. The Garden is gorgeous although we didn’t have time to use the hot tub but the experience looks promising. We enjoyed our time here and had time to fully recover before hitting the road again. Beautiful cottage set in a serene natural setting. The cottage was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and as seen in the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Katie was also a very helpful and responsive host. We had a wonderful stay!

Our trip started with a stay in a fantastic flat overlooking the Firth of Forth in Edinburgh, and a night at The Witchery. A highland excursion landed us at an awesome home in Glenfinnan. After a wind rocked ferry ride to the Isle of Harris, we lived the life of a crofter in the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, followed by a stay at a cozy little inn on the northerly end of the Isle of Lewis. We boarded the ferry at Stornoway and set out for the Milton of Redcastle for our stay at Katie’s. From the moment we slipped through the narrow opening in the stone wall, something felt different. The stone cottage, with its walled gardens, cackling pheasants, babbling brook, and adjacent pasture felt like home. The view of Beauly Firth out front and a castle in the back yard was just what our dreams of Scotland were made of. Katie’s cottage exceeded all our expectations. The only thing we needed was more time. This place made us start thinking less like tourists and more like immigrants.
This is one of the nicest airbnb I have ever stayed in. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. A superb getaway! Katie is the best! Highly recommend the IV10 cafe, an incredible restaurant that Katie recommended. Exceeded expectations!

The residents of Milton of Redcadtle take great pride in their little village and boast a beautiful array of flowers throughout the year. This is a bird watchers paradise and enjoy watching the Osprey fish from the picnic benches over looking the Firth.
