Sue’s accommodation was exceptional. The location was amazing with just around 5min drive to the town centre as well as both beaches. The accommodation is located very privately with lovely farm animals surrounding it. The host prepared amazing supplements including fruits, drinks and jams, and required kitchen utensils for quick food but there’s no proper cook top to make proper food so please note that before booking! Overall this cottage and the host is beyond amazing which I would highly recommended for couples for a quick weekend or holiday getaway!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Avocate Cottage. This was our first stop in New Zealand and our first time in the country and it did not disappoint. Loved the country feel of Sue and Peter’s place, surrounded by farm animals and wild birds. Lovely reception by the hosts who provided us with a nice loaf of bread, cereal, milk, granola, fruit, juice, avocados and fresh berries. Really special feeling here. Easy to access, just outside town a few kilometers and near some nice hiking and other quieter beaches. Highly recommend this spot. We hope to come back. No need to try out other spots.
