Had a wonderful stay at DeerWood Cottages. Nikhil and Arti has built a lovely home in the beautiful green mountains of Tehri. We stayed for 2 days and regretted our decision for keeping it so short as the overall surrounding and hospitality would long you stay more. Food was another USP, it so tasty yet so homely. Whole interior was very tastefully curated. Would highly recommend the place.

Nikhil and Aarti are the perfect hosts that you can think of, they are very humble, sweet and polite. The entire place is tastefully done and really clean. Everything was upto the mark!

It was an amazing and adventure filled stay. Property matches the listed pictures and we felt right at home. The only thing which I can of think can be improved is making the common kitchen separate from the property for groups/ guests which like a little more privacy and would like to cook themselves but since the other properties are already under contraction, I believe this is already on the radar. But this is a must visit place if you like home-cooked food, friendly hosts, peaceful surroundings, clean interiors and bear growling at night (dont worry they stay off the property) 😅

I booked Deer Cottage for my parents and their friends for 2 nights. They were looking for a peaceful and a comfortable place to stay on their trip to Rishikesh. They wanted to relax at a location not very far and also wanted to experience bnb for the first time. And that’s how I came across Deer Cottage. After a few quick message exchanges with the host I was convinced to book it. Though the cost was a little steep but my parents had all good things to say about the place. Nikhil was responsive and his help came to carry the luggage, the place was super clean and beds neatly done. Oh and they can’t stop talking about the good food. Bonfire was arranged on both nights. My dad was celebrating his birthday and I asked Nikhil if I can send a cake. He told me there were no bakeries around but he made sure dad cut a cake on that day. That was a cherry on top. Thank you Nikhil for the stay and making sure my parents had a good experience. Looking forward to booking it for my own trip there.

I would have rated this place above 5 star if I could. Amazing location, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms, impeccable hospitality by the host Nikhil. He's a very helpful and approachable host. Had some great suggestions about the local places to visit. Special mention goes to Chaini Ram the in-house cook at the property who made finger-licking tasty home cooked meals. This place has a great terrace which is surrounded by trees and is treat for bird watchers. Had a great stay. I would highly recommend it as it's a must visit Air BnB.
