While this was a suitable location in Merrillville, we had little to no privacy due to any lack of shades or shutters in the home throughout. Also, the kitchen could've been better equipped with other ameneties e.g. bottled/filtered water as the tap water tasted a bit acidic. That being said, the overall home was cozy and comfortable for our two toddlers and my wife and I. Matt has been very responsive throughout our stay and he is a wonderful host. We appreciate him hosting our family for an important occasion.

The home is quaint, the setting is nice, adequate furnishings, nice to have the extra half bath. The kitchen is not very well stocked. The pans are odd sizes, and very used and there is an inordinate amount of stemware and glass dishes that would be more suited to a fancy dinner than practical for feeding a family. Several things could be added to make it more useful. Loved the yard, the sounds of birds and frogs. Neighborhood is very nice. Close to shopping. The only downside to the location is a train comes through and blows it's whistle about every hour, then returns five minutes later ....all night.

The place was very clean and comfortable. My family of 7 had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy each other’s company. Wish it was warmer they would’ve enjoyed playing football on all of the available land. Will definitely book again.

I would describe the house as very straight forward. The pictures make it seem warm and cozy and in reality it’s a little darker and cold, kinda like going to your grandmas house with the decor and smell. But…we had to unplug all the plug-ins as the smell of them was overwhelming. If you aren’t used to well water, it is very very strong in this house. The TV was in the sun room, where there is no heat, so we couldn’t really sit in there and watch it. Overall it seemed fair for the price and size of house and Matt is very responsive. You know he’s going to respond when asked anything.
