Escape to a charming and serene lakefront retreat with spectacular views at our house in Vermont. Perfect for couples or small families seeking a vacation. With privacy over 2 acres of surrounding land, you'll have everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. From every room, experience stunning views of Echo Lake and surrounding hills. Spread over 3 levels, the lake house comfortably accommodates up to six guests. Enjoy the views on the screened in porch with BBQ and table fire. Our Lake House offers an unmatched blend of natural beauty and modern comforts for an unforgettable stay. Spanning across three levels, the property features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A standout feature is the screened-in porch adjacent to the kitchen, offering stunning lake views. - The top floor houses two cozy bedrooms, each fitted with a queen-size bed. Large windows in both rooms frame breathtaking lake views. The middle floor is equipped with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and full bathroom. Browse our bookshelf, brimming with books and games. - The lower floor hosts an additional bathroom, a fold-out couch, a TV, and a gas fireplace. This level also includes a workspace with a desk and a door that opens to a picnic table and fire pit. Though expansive, the lake is primarily a tranquil haven for swimming, shared with small watercraft such as kayaks and canoes. The absence of speed boats and jet skis ensures a serene, undisturbed lake experience. To the right (Southern side) of the lake, as viewed from the dock, the water is shallower and clear all the way to the bottom. The natural spring that feeds the lake is located on the left (Northern side).

Family and I had an amazing time in this relaxing home with amazing lake views and access. Karen was excellent to communicate with and her home was immaculate equipped with everything you might need to have a relaxing stay by the lake.

Nestled amidst the tranquil backdrop of the Stone Valley Byway, Echo Lake Escape promises an experience enveloped by nature. Regardless of the season, breathtaking views await from every window, as our secluded location ensures you enjoy Vermont in its raw beauty.
Seasonal Highlights:
Summer & Fall: Dive into summer with swimming, boating, and pure relaxation at our lakehouse. As autumn arrives, be captivated by Vermont's renowned foliage, transforming the surroundings with vibrant hues.
Winter & Spring: Snow blankets Vermont, turning Echo Lake Escape into a winter wonderland. Whether you're skiing or simply reveling in the snowy views, it's a spectacle to behold. KILLINGTON, the East's premier ski destination, is just an hour's drive. Closer still are Pico Mountain and Middlebury College's Snowbowl. Spring may carry winter's chill early on, but soon gives way to nature's grand revival after the rains.
Navigating the Area:
Parking: Convenient parking is available at the end of our gravel driveway.
Directions: Upon exiting our drive, a left turn will guide you to Route 30, the scenic Stone Valley Byway. From here:
Left Turn: Leads to Castleton, its University, Killington, and Manchester.
Right Turn: Directs you towards Middlebury, its renowned college, Burlington, and the expansive Champlain Valley.
Local Recommendations:
Middlebury: Just 30 minutes north on Route 30, Middlebury is your go-to for essentials - be it groceries, pharmacies, or an array of boutiques and eateries.
Buxton’s Store: For a closer option, the charming village of Orwell houses Buxton’s Store. Located at 499 Main St. Orwell, VT 05760, it's a mere 15-minute drive and offers a diverse range of products.
