We had a wonderful stay at Eider Cottage. It was very cosy and warm. The surprise welcome basket was lovely and very much appreciated after a long journey! The beds were very comfortable, the shower was great, and the bathtub was to die for. The best part was the kitchen for me. It was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. The kids and I enjoyed our "tea party breakfast" with our little egg cups and fresh orange! The hot tub outside looked great but as we were visiting family we didn't add it on as extra. We brought our dog Zeus and having an enclosed garden was great for him and less worry for us. A short walk to the bottom of the road had plenty of shops and places to eat. The walk was is a little steep and I can imagine it being very slippy and dangerous in the winter. A couple of the duck ornaments which are dotted around the cottage had been given my children's names! the kids had a great time finding all of the ducks and their names! I will 100% stay again!
Cosy quaint cottage. Big bathroom. Comfy bed. Lovely welcome pack. Great location. Log burner added to the stay. 2 bedrooms. All positive only comment would be tge seating in the lounge not enough comfortable seats for 4. Needs a new sofa and second sofa .. would suggest a 3 and 2 seater with pouffes so you can relax infront of the TV or cosylog burner. Would recommend to others 🙂
A very enjoyable stay , lovely quaint cottage retaining original features. Easy access to the town within a short walk with interesting shops and great cafes and places to eat .A first trip to Yorkshire will definitely be returning and the cottage is a great base to explore the beautiful countryside.
A brilliant place to stay! Just sad to go! Was well worth paying extra for the hot tub.
Eider cottage is beautifully decorated and very cosy. We did a lovely 12k round walk with the dogs, setting out from the cottage. The scenery is gorgeous and sinking in to the hot tub after was a perfect way to end the day! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is gorgeous. We had a lovely mini honeymoon and can't thank Angela enough!

自我介绍
I have spent the last six years hosting guests in one of our holiday properties in Holmfirth at the same time as caring for my mother, who sadly is no longer with us. Prior to that I spent over 30 years working full-time and as a volunteer in the corporate and voluntary sectors, most recently as Chief Executive of a national charity and voluntary Chair of a local children's hospice. I decided to go part-time in 2015 to spend more time caring for my Mother following the death of my Father. My husband and I bought four properties in Holmfirth where I was born and brought up, with the intention of establishing a holiday cottage business - so Your Yorkshire Time - Holmfirth Hot-Tub Heaven was born. We welcomed our first guests in 2016. All the properties are quirky period properties with original features and we hope the perfect venues for your time together, so if you're feeling in need of recuperation and pampering come and relax with us. The properties proved to be so popular that they soon become a full-time job! But one that I was able to do initially with my Mother and although it is much harder physically than anything that I have done before, helping me gave my Mum a real purpose in life again. Sadly she became very ill in 2018 and not only was she unable to help, but I needed to spend more time supporting her. But the positive side of this is that we have been able to provide work for local people who now do all the cottage cleaning and laundry for us. I now concentrate on everything else, most importantly and most enjoyably meeting our guests and making sure that they have a wonderful holiday. My motto in life is I'll sleep when I'm dead!
