Truly an amazing and unique place, even more beautiful than the photos. The living room is very spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is big and very fun to cook in. The rooms upstairs are bright and warm, the beds were very comfortable. We were with children aged 1 to 8 and everyone found so many things to play with, both indoors and outdoors with the trampoline and the sandbox and the bike and the closet full of games. And the garden.. simply amazing! Fruit trees, a tomato bush, the spacious jacuzzi, and everything sits on the amazing stream with the ducks. The area of the house is perfect! Full of hiking trails. Don't give up walking up to a windmill and a tour inside.. The communication with Leon and Femaka was great, they helped us with every help and assistance. We already miss this perfect home.

This was a wonderful place to stay. House appears newly remodeled, stylish and comfortableThe garden was lovely. We enjoyed grilling and eating outside and of course the view of the windmill. Although a bit more expensive than others we looked at, we think it was worth it. The location is ideal for travel around the area and the house itself is a peaceful place to spend time if you don’t want to travel. We saw several nearby cities but Alkmaar itself was the highlight and it can be reached easily by bicycle from the house. (Bicycles included!) I also recommend guests meet Han, the miller. He gave a fantastic tour of his windmill and we rented his little boat for a trip through Alkmaar’s canals. Leon and Femke are excellent hosts and made sure we were comfortable. They went above and better what we expected to get us settled in. We felt that they treated us like we were family. If we have a friend traveling to Holland, we will refer them to Leon and Femke!

Leon y Femke estuvieron atentos en todo momento durante nuestra estancia. A la casa no le falta ningún detalle, muy recomendable si viajáis con niños, la casa es perfecta. Las vistas son preciosas. la casa estaba impecable, nueva y con mucha luz natural. Está en una zona tranquila pero tiene cerca supermercados etc. Ideal para conocer Holanda de verdad, descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Volveremos seguro! Muchas gracias por todos los detalles, ha sido una experiencia estupenda!

Von Anfang (Buchung) bis Ende (late check-out) waren der Aufenthalt, die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber, das Haus, die Ausstattung, die Lage und sogar das Wetter einfach TOP!!! :-) Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht - und noch mehr... ;-) Obwohl wir die ersten Gäste überhaupt waren, wurde hier von Beginn an mitgedacht und der Gastgeber war jederzeit zu erreichen und schnell im Antworten. Die Lage am Kanal (und dadurch die Möglichkeit zu Angeln oder zu SUPen), der morgendliche Kaffe mit Blick auf die Mühle, der 38-40 Grad heiße Whirlpool, die 3 nutzbaren Fahrräder, der Gaskaminofen und vieles mehr haben unsere 4 Tage perfekt gemacht! Jeden Tag an einen anderen Strand mit gleicher Entfernung, mit dem Fahrrad zum Shopping, Bummeln oder auf den Käsemarkt (freitags) nach Alkmaar, zur höchsten Düne der Niederlande nach Schoorl inkl. toller Wander- und MTB-Routen: all das ist möglich! Und jedes Mal, wenn man zurück zur Unterkunft kam, fühlte es sich an wie 'zu Hause'! DANKE Leon & Femke
