And if you cannot get to sleep immediately, then you could always step outside again on to the top floor balcony overlooking the glistening blue water in the pool, and take a breath of fresh air while watching the stars twinkle in the sky. The location of the villa "S'Hort den Felip" makes it very easy to make excursions to the interior of the island with its many original villages and markets or to the various splendid beaches along the south and west coast. The town of Ses Salines, 5 km away, owes its name to the salines - salt ponds, that can be visited in a conservation area and which also represent a fantastic starting point for hiking tours. The lighthouse at Cap des Ses Salines will provide you with your bearings. Or you can visit the holiday town of Colonia de Sant Jordi with its yacht harbour, just 11 km away. The promenade and many small sandy beaches are tempting places to stroll around and enjoy.
