We had an awesome stay in Kaikoura. The location was beautiful with amazing views of the coastline. The house was comfortable and matched the description and photos. We would definitely stay here again. A particular highlight was seeing dolphins and seals right from the balcony.

Absolutely stunning scenery. The photos show the view but the feeling of relaxation and calmness you get while staying here is incredible. We slept upstairs with the door wide open each night so we could listen to the waves - just bliss!! The kitchen is very well equipped, better than picture shows. Everything you need for your stay. Just remember to bring bottled water and mosquito spray 😊 We will be bringing friends and family back one day soon!

You could stay downtown but why not head up the road from Kaikoura town center and hear the waves from the upstairs patio? This place is tranquil, historic, and unlike any of the AirBnBs in town. And the price was incredibly fair.

Gorgeous view overlooking the ocean, cute older home. A wonderful covered upper view deck. The water pressure is a bit dicey with absolutely no flow, and I do mean zero, none, when using the washer, so plan accordingly. Luckily the train does not run during the evening (as you are right above the tracks) and really doesn't run that often. A terrific, and new, pocket shoreline park just across the road (Highway 1). Truck traffic noise really isn't an issue. Kitchen is good, well stocked except in need of a colander and some way to make coffee (like a press, etc). The driveway is narrow so take care. Overall, definitely enjoyed our stay.
