Alison is the best host I have ever stayed with. She made me feel right at home since the very beginning. Everyone in the family is super nice. I loved spending time with John, their kids, their cats - potato and Margaret and their dog - Bernie ! Alison and John are very responsive and friendly. The kids are super loveable and friendly. The house has everything that one would ever need. I had a great stay here. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone who plans to visit Gettysburg!

I didn’t spend a lot of time at the house. I was in Gettysburg for one night and spent most of the time touring the battlefield and the city. However, they couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I was greeted as I arrived and felt very comfortable and welcomed.

Alison's accommodations were fantastic and fit what we needed for our visit to Gettysburg perfectly. The clear instructions made parking and getting into the room seamless. The room itself was just what the pictures show online- cozy and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The shower pressure was perfect and the hot water lasted for two people to take showers back to back. Alison mentioned that it could take a while for the water to get hot but we did not experience this at all. The room was quiet and we were not bothered by any noise- inside or outside- and our visit occurred during bike week! Alison's recommendations for food and coffee were excellent. We enjoyed grabbing drinks and food at Garryowen, Gettysburger, and The Ragged Edge. The location is walkable to the historic downtown area and right next to the beautiful campus of Gettysburg College. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Alison's accommodations and would book again if we were ever back.
