White Carniola or Belokrajina in Slovene is a traditional region in southeastern Slovenia and offers a very cultural rich with plenty sights to see and customs to experience ranging from museums and display of old customs. The river Kolpa nearby offers the great opportunity to take a swim during hot summer days or to take a more adventorous take on it by renting a kayak or canoe to drive along the river stream. The region has many cycling and hiking paths for those who wish to explore the area and natual landscape, more adrenaline filled activities incluse climbing, parachuting and much more.
In Črnomelj, you can go for a wander through the Krajinski park Lahinja and in Semič to the well of the river Krupa.
We recommend a visit to the Hiša dobrot Bela krajina, Šturm Castle Cellar at Metlika Castle, Pečarič Wine Cellar, Metlika Wine Cellar, Šuklje Wine Cellar or Prus Wine Cellar, where you can do wine tastings.
In Metlika, we also recommend a visit to the Belokranjski Museum of Metlika, the Slovenian Fire Museum, Kambič gallery, Tri Fare pilgrimage complex and Brihtna glava Primary School - "school as it used to be''.

Cottages are located in the green nature along the Kolpa river and the white birch trees. Nearby is the river Kolpa where guests can take on the offer of canoe and bike rentals. Children’s playgrounds with plenty of equipment to have fun on, beach volleyball, badminton and table tennis tables are on location for guests to use during stay. The park and equipment is lit up in the later hours so a late night volleyball macth is not out of the question.
Nearby there is a natural swimming area at the Kolpa river. The swimming area is also suitable for children and non-swimmers. The main attraction is the Kolpa river, which is very warm in summer and where you can swim, fish or explore the river with canoes. In autumn, you can pick mushrooms and chestnuts, cycle or take a walk in nature. In winter, you can enjoy interesting snow games or visit nearby ski resort Bela, Gače, or the pools of the Dolenjske toplice Thermal Spa.

To get around we recommend guests have their own vehicle. There are bike rentals available. The local bus station is 500 meters from the property.
