The house is on the outskirts of Hurstpierpoint Village in the Downs. It is less than 10 minutes walk into the the village (crossing over the main road to footpath) which has all the shops you need, including Co-op, postoffice, antiques shops, coffee shops, greengrocers and pubs, plus a couple of restaurants such as Morleys and the excellent takeaway Village Pizza kitchen. There are also some good pubs in easy driving distance such as the Ginger Fox. For walkers we are close to Wolstonbury Hill which can be walked to (and up!) from the house, and you can also access Jack and Jill Windmills and the South Downs way. Brighton and Hove are within less than 20 mins drive and you can easily get Uber to come to and from the house from there. Nearest station is Hassocks which has trains to London Bridge and Victoria in less than 1 hr. You'd need to get a taxi from Hassocks to the house.
We are also close to Burgess Hill for larger shops and supermarkets and less than 1/2 hour from Gatwick airport.
