Fun family cabin in Ruidoso perfect for making memories. Covered patio Hot tub, wrap around deck in the Pines w/ grill & fire pit (check burn rules) to enjoy the outdoors. Or stay cozy inside with stone fireplace, 2 tvs w/ DirectTV & Sports channels, 2 living rooms with comfy seating board games & toys, plus game room w/ foosball & Marvel vs Capcom arcade! 6 bedrooms (beds for 12 mean lots of sleep options- plus sofas)... Room for everyone! Elk & Deer pass often- near town & ski resorts. The space Our Charming mountain cabin! It is not fancy, but we put in a lot of love and a lot of of extra amenities to enjoy including fire pit, hammocks, massage chairs, foosball table, two tvs with directTV and sports channels, coffee/ hot chocolate/tea, bar with espresso and ice maker, and special toys for kids. There is AC upstairs only, but downstairs tends to stay cool if you are wise about opening windows. The bathrooms and deck are newly updated since the photos were taken! We have beds for 12, but will allow up to 16, (two couches plus one giant sectional in the den that can sleep 2-4 adults, or a lot of kids). Bedrooms all have cotton bedding, a mix of memory foam, down alternative, and feather down pillows, closet space, and room darkening or blackout curtains in each room. Like it's literary namesake, the Burrow is on several levels with an interesting layout. Parking Options: 1) steep looped driveway ( 4wd recommended especially in winter) 2) space for 1-2 cars on a pullout above the driveway, suitable for all vehicles 3) street parking is free and safe on quiet street 4) additional parking down the hill about a 10 min walk away, useful as overflow parking or if you doubt your car's abilities in the snow! About 20 feet over from the driveway, the top level of the house is down a short flight of stairs from the street. The upstairs has open kitchen with a big dining table with seating for 12+, a living room with fireplace/cozy seating/desk area, one bath, and three bedrooms. Down the stairs you will find a game room with foosball table, comfy couch, two massage chairs, and wet bar area. The game room leads into the den with large convertible sectional, plenty of cozy throw pillows and blankets, directTV, Marvel vs Capcom arcade, and board games & kids toys ( mostly batman and paw patrol currently). Down the hall are a hall bathroom, and 3 more bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite. Bedroom options: Upstairs Front King bed- very soft plush hybrid mattress Upstairs back king bed- firm hybrid mattress Upstairs 2 twin beds- medium firm hybrid mattresses Downstairs hall queen bed- medium memory foam mattress Downstairs ensuite queen bed- medium pillowtop hybrid mattress Downstairs 2 twin bunks- medium hybrid mattresses Downstairs sectional- the ottomans fit into the sofa to create a big flat "bed" area roughly the size of two queen beds pushed together. (When we use the cabin and have a big group we throw 8-10 kids on there and put on a movie, then the adults go upstairs, have a glass of wine, and ignore the yelling til it simmers down and they all pass out, but your mileage may vary.) Couch in the game room- pretty soft & comfy sofa for 1 Upstairs couch- comfy sofa for 1 Pack n Play We provide extra pillows and cozy blankets for snuggling and fresh clean towels. Also shampoo/conditioner/body wash, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, creamers and sugar, TP, paper towels, laundry pods and dishwasher pods enough for a weekend. For longer stays with big groups its hard to stock enough but we do try! Wraparound deck. Propane BBQ for guest use. Downstairs under the deck we have patio seating, a hammock, propane fire pit with Adirondack chairs (sometimes prohibited by Village of Ruidoso to use- check their website), and a tie out run for dogs. Double lot (parking loop takes up most of the second one). You can see your neighbors but home feels very private due to being set down below the street. Convenient location close to town. Steep driveway or street parking. 4WD or chains recommended, or ask us where to park if you are worried about your car's abilities! We ARE strict about no parties- it's a quiet residential area so no loud music outside, especially at night as we have had complaints/police calls.
