In warmer weather this room would have been way too warm. The cooling unit doesn’t work well and the fan will not run, only auto. The room is stuffy. As soon as AC cuts off the room is uncomfortable again. The elevator is in need of better programming, the stairs are quicker. It has the feel of a motel more than hotel. They spent more on trendy fixtures than plumbing, cooling and electrical. And fixtures were already falling out of the Sheetrock. The location was supreme but I wouldn’t stay here again. The mattresses aren’t being turned and wearing out one side. Parking was $45 a night. The AC didn’t work the first night and we weren’t the only one. An hour later a guy came and unplugged it and plugged it back in to “reset” it. It didn’t fix it but they refused to move us or credit me because they were fully booked. Corporate said they could move me but hotel staff said no because they were booked. A different guy came & fixed it the next day. The bathroom is small and awkward.

Sonder Arcadian is a little gem in a great neighborhood. Walkable to Coolidge Corner shopping and restaurants and convenient to the sights of Boston via the T. Also an easy walk (15-20 minutes) to Fenway/MGM Music Hall/House of Blues. Our room was in the part of the creatively redesigned building that was a former motor lodge (that used to have its door and windows open to the outdoors) that is now accessed by an open walkway in an airy interior space with an industrial chic vibe. There are nice gathering spaces in the lobby area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
