It was one of the best Airbnb experiences staying at Ephraim's apartment. It was so well tought out, everything you could need is there. The bed was comfy and the whole apartment was super clean. The host greeted us with a freshly baked pie and left some food for the breakfast. I highly recommend staying there!
If you appreciate good taste and art, then you've come to the right place. Ephraim is very helpful and easy to contact. The tram station is close by and there is a supermarket (LIDL) right next to it, which always seems to be open (even on Sundays). The flat is very quiet, the bed is very comfortable and all the furnishings are simply beautiful. The cushions, the blankets, the cups, the plates, the tiles in the bathroom - very good taste! And the painting in the kitchen, of course! :-) (We stayed there for 6 days in March)
PRAGUE's MONTMARTRE
Our area called Žižkov - Prague 3 is neighbouring with Prague 1. Žižkov experienced the most significant development by the end of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century. Close to Oldtown (15 minutes by walk or 7 minutes by tram to Venceslas square), you can come across genuine residents, in their sorrow and joy — Žižkov is a residential area, the real Prague, out of tourist traps and remains the most popular place to live in Prague.
It is built on a hill dominating the Old Town in the location of former imperial vineyards. It used to be an artisanal area, and this spirit is slowly coming back. Thanks to a pleasant atmosphere and suitable prices, many of Prague's international students and residents and ex-patriots spend more of their time here, than in old town. Jaroslav Seifert, a Nobel Prize-winning Czech writer, poet, journalist and a symbol of freedom of expression, lived here during all his life and loved our quarter. It’s a Bohemian, picturesque, charming and fashionable district. The roads twist and turn, and there are small squares and many bars scattered all over. Žižkov is rumoured to have more pubs per square kilometre than any neighbourhood in Europe, perhaps even worldwide (a bit exaggerated statement in our point of view).
There is a food market at Jiřího z Poděbrad (10 minutes by walk), a mythical concert venue the Acropolis practically the next door (theatre company Spitfire has found a home here, in the Palác Akropolis), the best modern dance theatre venue, Ponec (5 minutes by walk) or even Žižkov Theatre of Jára Cimrman (2 minutes by walk).
自我介绍
I am originally from Slovakia, although I prefer to express myself in French. Since my early childhood I knew that I wanted to live in France and before I could learn French I was already dreaming in that language. My desire to settle in France was nurtured by my grandparents, who left Czechoslovakia before the Second World War. I spent several years in Paris and moved to Prague when I was in my thirties.
