Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enter the storybook cottage through the arched doors. Our fully equipped kitchen includes all the space to prepare whatever your heart desires. The queen bedroom has a full closet and workspace. The large master bedroom has a king bed with its own bathroom and a cozy reading area to take in the views of the countryside. Each space has beauty and function for the most discerning tastes! The cottage is located at Rocas Retreat, on 15 lush acres of rolling green hills with miles of hiking and walking trails all around the property and area. Since we are in nature, guests will be able to see all of the wildlife native to the area. This includes listening to the coyotes singing at night, seeing a hawk soar, the frogs, and many other native land residents, out here. NOTE: INTERNET ACCESS: Since the Cottage is in a semi-rural area, internet service is limited to cell service and satellite. We offer access to the internet outside of the main house on the property with a cozy seating area if you need internet access. Since it is satellite internet service, your own cell service may be a better option for streaming or online calls. We offer premium DirecTV service on the TV in the Cottage that includes all of the premium movie channels. Rocas Retreat's Storybook Cottage is perfect for those looking to disconnect and reconnect with themselves, their family, nature, or whatever they want to create. As you wind through the Avocado and Citrus orchards on the drive up, you will begin to feel a sense of peace and serenity settle in. While we are in the country where you can hear nature, there are many fun things to do on the property, in the area, and many other tourist destinations that are within driving distance.

We had the pleasure of staying at this cute cottage in Valley Center. The place was clean, the hosts are welcoming, and the property is beautiful. Would highly recommend this stay!
The setting is peaceful and tranquil - lovely views. The cottage was as advertised, very spacious and comfortable at a nice degree of luxury. The bed was so amazing we even looked it up online and ordered one before heading home! Host staff are terrific about letting you choose your own engagement whether full privacy or involved in Roca's resources. Will be back.
This was a wonderful stay in a very rustic location.
This place is magical. The house is just a fairytale. Very comfortable, well maintained, bautifully decorated, functional, clean, quiet, peaceful. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. There is A/C and heater. Also, the electric fireplace works great. The main bedroom has a lot of natural light with windows all around. The master bathroom has two sinks, and the shower water pressure is just perfect! The house is surrounded by nature, and the rest of the property is amazing. They have a pool, several sitting areas all around the property, tree hammocks, a well designed meditation room, sauna/spa. I didn't visit the main house, but they have other units that can be rented. This is a retreat place, not a party place. You can walk around the property, go for a hike, watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, listen to nature. The owner took the time to come check on us and offer to help with anything we needed. I'd definitely come back!
The drive up to the Airbnb at night was a bit scary but my phone’s gps saved us. Once you arrive, beautiful house and peaceful area. House was clean and cozy. The hosts were quick to respond. Not only were they friendly and informative, they were also very accommodating. Although no wifi, I definitely would stay here again. Heads up, if you order an Uber/UberEats, more than likely they will need your directions/guidance to find you. Great stay, nice house, amazing hosts.

We provide all guests with information on restaurants, attractions, and areas of interest that are nearby with the approximate drive time.
Our rural location is found by following the winding country roads through Citrus and Avocado orchards as you leave city life behind and enter a state of serenity. Take your time on this very scenic drive. There is no need to rush up here, is there? As you get farther into the rolling green hills of northern San Diego County, you will begin to see the Condors soaring, hear the birds singing, and feel relaxation upon your arrival.
Since we are located on 15 acres, guests may park their vehicles anywhere that is not blocking any of the roadways on the property and off. Guests are encouraged to go on nature walks around our property!
Since we are in rural Northern San Diego County, it is best to understand that this kind of privacy and serenity requires that you drive to different attractions in the area. We provide all of our guests a listing of what attractions are in the area.
The Yellow Deli is just 5 minutes or less down the road from us. A market is located about 15 minutes away and there are many cute little restaurants in Valley Center that is only about 25 minutes away.
