Annie's Place is wonderfully located in the small village of Connor Downs, approximately 2 miles east of the seaside town of Hayle and 2 miles south-southeast of the beautiful village of Gwithian. The centre of Connor Downs is about a 3 minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk away which has a friendly pub which serves food, a spar shop and a garage.
Trevaskis Farm is a 3 minute drive away over the cross roads or a 20 minute walk. The farm shop sells home grown produce and has a restaurant, you can pick your own fruit (at certain times of the year) and there is a free farm park where you can see some of the animals. You can book a table for meals or just pop along for a coffee and cake. Dogs are welcome outside in their large seating area, so your 4 legged friend wont miss out. Oh and their dessert counter is something to behold and it really shouldn't be missed if you have a sweet tooth.
The coastal village of Gwithian with its beautiful soft golden sanded beach is only 2 miles away. The Headland of Godrevy with it's Lighthouse and Mutton Cove (where you can view the seals and their pups from the top of the cliffs at low tide) are a 5 minute drive away, there is a National Trust carpark, toilets and the amazing Godrevy Cafe. There is a bit of a walk up to the headland but the view is definitely worth it. There are miles of spectacular walks over coastal grasslands and along the North cliffs which can take you out to Hell's mouth (approximately 5 miles) or if your feeling adventurous even as far as Portreath (approximately 13 miles from Godrevy). Some walks can be quite challenging so look them up before you try if your not a seasoned rambler.
Gwithian beach is part of the 3 miles of beautiful golden sands that stretch across St Ives Bay. There are rock pools to discover and sand castles to build. The beach is dog friendly all year round and is well covered by the Lifeguard service between the Easter bank holiday to the end of September. Its just a great beach for everyone at any time of the year, fantastic surf all year round and beautiful walks even in the wind and rain.
The seaside town of Hayle is about 2 miles away, you can find all your supermarkets, local shops, hairdressers, pharmacy, many restaurants and takeaways and pubs there.
St Ives is 9 miles away and a 20 minute drive by car. I would recommend using the park and ride service from St Erth train station and hop on the scenic St Ives Bay Line, you'll be there within 15 minutes. Driving round and parking in St Ives can be impossible during the summer months and can be a complete headache for most holiday guest's. St Erth train station is 4.5miles away and has parking for over 500 cars. You will need to buy your ticket before boarding the train. You can use the GWR app, website or St Erth ticket office or machine and a family ticket (2 adults, up to 3 kids 5-15) is £10, Group day return (4 adults) £8, and day returns Adult £4 and Child (5-15) £2, under 5s are free. Trains run twice an hour during the day, 7 days a week, all year round .... oh and doggo's are welcome on the train to.

We recommend using a car to get around, there is easy access to the main A30 road which can take you in both directions.
Annie's Place is just 9 miles away from St Ives which means you can enjoy all the attractions of this beautiful and popular seaside resort while escaping the hustle and bustle at the end of the day.
The city of Truro is 14 miles away with it's beautiful Cathedral, many shops and delightful restaurants. It makes for a great day out if you've had enough of the beach or are in need of some retail therapy! There are various carparks in Truro and a park and ride on the way in (you'll see it sign posted) or you could always take the train from St Erth.
Marazion and the stunning St Michaels Mount is 8 miles away. You can access the Mount either by the causeway (at low tide) or by ferry. You need to book in advance before visiting if you want to access the island. National Trust Members are free, but you may be required to pay for the ferry ride if the tide is in. I would check their website for prices and admission times.
Further a field, Flambards theme park 9 miles, The Lizard Point 18 miles, the famous Eden Project 29 miles, Lost gardens of Heligan 30 miles, Padstow 30 miles, Newquay 19 miles, Lands End 19 miles and the Minack theatre 17 miles away.
There are many unique beaches, fishing villages and coves to discover all around the coast of Cornwall and you're never far from the sea, even when you're inland.
