This is one of the best staycation destinations in T&T. Period. Words do not do this little slice of paradise justice and staying there an experience that must be had for oneself. Daniel and Natalia were incredibly kind and hospitable and made us feel quite welcomed. The Cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple, with its privacy and beautiful landscape. Just what we needed after a hard year. I fully recommend a visit and know I will be back next year .

The cottage was nice and, seemed clean and booking with Daniel was a breeze. It was just what my partner and I needed for our short stay, especially since we hardly ever utilize the kitchen or other areas during short stays. However, we felt like our privacy wasn’t being respected during our stay. When we arrived on Tuesday night, were greeted by Ingrid and Tineil. Tineil showed us around the property and she was the person that I communicated with about checking out since we were leaving early on Friday morning. We spent most of the first day away from the cottage so there were no issues. On the second day, from the time we went outside, around 8am, there were people on the property. When we returned with our breakfast, we realized that they had more people come to cut the grass without informing us first. I called the number that had been messaging me on Whats.App and spoke with Ingrid and let her know that it was an annoyance because the person that was there, was playing music loud enough to cause a disturbance, (especially since we’d planned to spend the day in the seating area directly outside the cottage), I was asked by Ingrid if I would be there all day and subsequently followed up with a message asking what time I would be checking out the next day. That made me feel really uneasy because it felt like she couldn’t wait for us to be gone, especially since I’d already felt a passive aggressive tone from her during our first phone conversation on the night we arrived; she’d been messaging me earlier that day with a booking form which I ignored because I booked through Airbnb and I could tell she wasn’t pleased that I didn’t fill out the form on the day I was checking in. I asked if check out time wasn’t at 10am because I knew I’d already spoken with Tineil about the checking out process and I didn’t care to talk to Ingrid about it since it felt to me like she was just ready for us to be out and she was there the night we checked in and didn’t care to discuss it then. Later that day, we went out for food again and I know for a fact someone, at the very least, was on the porch while we were gone because we hung a beach mat along the roof outside so that there would be some privacy when we were outside as there were people next door and there was always staff around the property. When we got back we noticed that the beach mat that we hung up had fallen partially. I was immediately suspicious but my partner convinced me that it could’ve just gotten blown down by the wind. When we went to fix it, we both noticed immediately that it was hung up in a different way than we did it. This confirmed my suspicions for the both of us. I called Tineil because I saw her next door before we left. I asked her if someone came in while we were gone and she denied it. I didn’t press the issue any further but that really put a damper on our trip because it made us feel even more uncomfortable. I was debating whether or not I wanted to even leave a review since there were other places listed by this host that I was interested in staying at, but I figured that it wouldn’t matter either way because I would never want to stay anywhere that my privacy feels compromised. Overall, the property itself was nice but I couldn’t wait to leave. Ingrid called us on Friday morning again to discuss checking out and my partner told her that we already spoke to Tineil about it, to which she she was unaware. It was just a nuisance dealing with people who clearly weren’t communicating with each other.

Peaceful and unique property located a quick drive into town. You can feel the care and thought that has been put into this property. Perfect place to find peace or have an unforgettable event. Already planning my return. Thanks!
