We stayed for 4 nights as 3 families and enjoyed our holiday thoroughly. the property is beautiful, with heritage touches and in a remarkable location. Manivannan was incidentally on site and helped arrange a cook but the care takers are themselves excellent. If you want a rustic farm stay coupled with convenience and proximity to prestine beaches, with good hospitality and care, do not hesitate to choose this option special thanks to Manivannan for making all the arrangements to look after us so well

We had a wonderful stay in Shantivan, Kumbhashi. The home was charming and reflected the local aesthetic. Equipped with everything we needed, its proximity to the beach and the lush property with fruiting trees added to the experience. However, we did encounter some insects like centipedes and mosquitoes due to the natural surroundings.

We had clear instructions on how to get to the stay. It was a treat to stay in a courtyard-styled modern house. The owner has decorated the home tastefully, so one can lounge in the corridor if it’s too hot outside. The place is clean and set amidst a budding orchard. The beach is at the other end of the property and walkable. Peacocks sing in the morning and there are bright rice fields in the vicinity. There are many things you can do - 1. visit the many temples in the area 2. visit the beaches and towns up the coast or to Udupi 3. Eat in the various quaint restaurants 4. Chill on the beach (water is very rough) 5. Go for walks. I recommend that you don’t have a fixed idea of a beach holiday when visiting this place. This is definitely a place that we will come back to for a chill time. Note: you will need your own transport to get around as all the places are distributed. If you don’t have a ride, you could book one from Kundapur.
