Cava de' Tirreni · 整套别墅 · 4室8床5.0卫 · 可住10人 · Il Piliero 8+2, Emma Villas
According to the tradition of Cava de' Tirreni the Pulieri were the towers from which dove hunting was practised. In common language, Il Piliero means tower that can be seen on the hill in front of the villa. Owned by the family since the 1980s, the villa is located on one of the hills surrounding the town of Cava. Located in a park that includes two other villas (also owned by the family), it has been expertly restored maintaining its old flavour. Entering the garden and enjoying the panorama of the surrounding hills, it seems very far from the active and lively town centre of Cava de' Tirreni. The centre of the house is the large and bright open-plan area on the ground floor with living and dining area whose large windows overlook the garden, creating constant communication between indoors and outdoors. All the rooms on the ground floor have direct outside access, creating a pleasant union between inside and outside. The four bedrooms are located on the first floor. The swimming pool, of an elegant octagonal shape, is well equipped with gazebo, umbrellas and a pergola next to the house furnished with sofas, which allow you to fully enjoy life in the open air and the mild Mediterranean climate that characterises this region. We are about an hour from the renowned pearls of the Amalfi Coast such as Amalfi and Ravello. A few minutes away by car, the vibrant centre of Cava de' Tirreni offers a lot to the visitor, from shops for basic necessities to bars, restaurants, bistros and, obviously, pizzerias where you can sample the specialty of the region, renowned throughout the world, the Neapolitan pizza. Interior: The house has three floors connected by an internal staircase and a lift. From the main entrance on the ground floor you enter a small hallway with the guest bathroom on the left and the lift on the right. Next is the kitchen on the right while the corridor leads to a small dining room with access to the large open-plan area with fireplace, TV and large dining table. The small dining room leads to a large living room with coffee tables and sofas and with access to the outside, directly to the pool area. From the corridor, the staircase and the lift lead down to the basement consisting of a large room with billiard table, a guest bathroom and the technical rooms. The staircase and lift lead up to the sleeping area on the first floor consisting of a double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (one with joinable beds), and a double bedroom with loft containing an additional single bed. The bedrooms are served by two bathrooms with tub, a bathroom with double shower and a small bathroom with shower located on the loft. Portable Air Conditioner in the bedrooms.
Cava de' Tirreni is an old town, full of history and today a vibrant centre in the province of Salerno, with over 50,000 inhabitants distributed in the Borgo and in more than twenty villages scattered on the surrounding hills. Its first inhabitants, of the terre de la Cava, were the Tirreni, a nomadic Etruscan tribe, whose presence is documented by archaeological finds kept in the Museum of the Badia Benedettina and in the civic Antiquarium. In Roman times it was a renowned holiday resort chosen by the nobility of Rome. It was also inhabited by the Longobards, whose civilisation can still be seen in a series of ancient towers built for the famous Caccia dei Colombi (Dove Hunt). Cava is today a vibrant borgo characterised by long porticoes which, like a small Bologna of the South, characterise the entire central Corso of the town and are teeming with shops, clubs, bars, restaurants and pizzerias. One of the most beautiful places to visit is the Borgo Scacciaventi, a complex of houses and porticoes that date back to the 15th century, or thereabouts, with shops and workshops of all kinds. At the centre of the Borgo is the Cathedral, the main place of worship in the town. The town offers events that attract many visitors, such as the challenge of the Trombonieri (Arquebusiers) of Cava de' Tirreni, during the first weekend of July, an event in which the eight Casali di Trombonieri compete in a shooting contest. Another very important event of Cava De' Tirreni is the feast of Monte Castello. From May 28 to June 5 preparations are in full swing with those who, for faith or for tradition, are preparing to climb Monte Castello for a visit to the chapel of St. Adiutore. The day continues with a long series of shooting with a pistone (antique firearm). For the inhabitants of Cava it is a ritual to gather at the home of a lucky friend or relative who has a view of Mount Castello and, while enjoying the traditional food, watch the fireworks which end with the phantasmagorical blaze of the fortress and the lighting of the red flag which declares the end of the feast. Monte Castello is a tradition that fascinates locals and visitors. One of the advantages of this town is that it is located a few kilometres from the Amalfi Coast, basically representing its northern gateway. The villa is just 6 km from Vietri sul Mare from where you can depart to explore the wonders that the coast offers, from Ravello to Amalfi and then up to Positano.
