We are three women with a similar dream, sharing a deep respect for mother nature and commitment to sustainable farming. In the midst of lush mountains and jungles, in the south of Costa Rica they found their paradise...They purchased a coffee farm in the high hills of the volcanic Talamanca mountain in Coto Brus, Brunca coffee region at an altitude of 1250 meters (4101 feet).Las Dueñas farm includes five hectares of protected forest and the water streams are being protected by planting specific trees at their margins. They strive to only utilize the most environmentally friendly alternatives in caring for the beans and the land they grow on.Las Dueñas are continuously reforesting with native species to provide shade and other nutrients for the coffee plants, protecting the water streeems and biodiversity and providing refuge for many different species of birds.
