I was very conflicted in how to write this review because the apartment was, to be brutally honest, pretty awful but the host was very easy to deal with. The building is centrally located which is great but the building itself is super junky and stunk like an old basement. The suite itself was, unfortunately, not any better. Walls were scratched and shoddily patched and painted, couch was covered in crusty stains, and the ceiling in the kitchen was peeling and looked like a 10 year old tried to repair it with an entire can of spackling. Then there were the sticky kitchen cabinets full of crumbs, unwashed cups, and hairs on the bathroom floor. I am not sure how this place is so well reviewed but it makes me think something fishy is going on here. I give the host 5 stars for conflict resolution because he refunded our money after 15 minutes in the apartment but we still had to find last minute accomodation and ruined our first few hours in Ottawa.

El departamento es hermoso, estaba muy limpio y súper completo. Pero lo mejor de todo es la ubicación. En pleno centro de la ciudad llegas caminando a todos lados. Sin dudas volvería. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Convenient location, very walkable. A very downtown area. The kitchen is nice, bed is comfy. The whole unit is right up against another building so there is very little natural light. a great place to stay for a night or two in Ottawa.

when you come to ottawa stay with sam! the best airbnb host out there! he’s lenient & very easy going, his place is nice & clean with all the things you need, around everything! you’ll feel right at home @ sams place!
