The lively ambiance will capture your senses, as each day unfolds with exciting events, including concerts, fairs, and folklore festivals, making your time there an authentically unique experience.
- Budakalász -
If you would like a lovely meal in a family-owned restaurant, we recommend that you head to Schieszl Vendéglő in Budakalász. A brief 10-minute car ride from Ebihal büfé, and you can experience traditional dishes and local flavors. It's a delightful culinary experience that captures the essence of the region.
- Római Part -
If you are looking for a meal, drinks, or just a walk somewhere more lively, Római Part invites you to a vibrant riverside locale along the Danube. With its energetic atmosphere, captivating and unique restaurants and bars, and buzzing pathways, it's the ideal destination for those seeking an active connection with the river's dynamic charm.
-Bike Rides -
Both Budakalász and Római Part are within the range of a comfortable bike ride. Budakalász (Schieszl Vendéglő) is a 3.2 km ride away, while Római Part is a bit further at 8.2 km from Ebihal büfé. For those who are looking for longer rides, we recommend checking out the Danube Bend. For example, Visegrád is a scenic 31.2 km ride away.

Car
Approachable by car on Road 11 from Budapest towards Szentendre. Turn right by the intersection after Megyeri Bridge behind the METRO supermarket. Go straight until you reach the river, turn left and look for parking spots in front of Ebihal pub where the ferry departs from.
Public transportation
For public transportation, take suburban train H5 (HÉV) from Batthyány tér towards Szentendre. Get off at Budakalász, Lenfonógyár. Start walking on Szentendrei road and proceed to József Attila road after turning right at the roundabout. Keep walking straight until you reach the river then turn left. On your right you will see the pub where the ferry starts from.
BIKE!
And our favorite way is by bike, exploring the picturesque paths along the beautiful Danube River, starting from Budapest city center. Whether you choose the Pest or Buda side, there's a bikelane that runs along the river, providing a delightful cycling experience.
If you begin your journey on the Pest side, you can cross the river via Újpesti vasúti bridge and make a pit stop for a refreshing drink at Kabin bar. Once you're on the Buda side, continue cycling northward, following the river.
For a more leisurely and scenic route, you can opt for Római beach, which boasts a lively atmosphere and numerous excellent restaurants right next to the Danube. Take your time and enjoy the picturesque views along this path.
Alternatively, if you prefer a faster and more efficient ride, consider taking Nánási road and continue straight until you reach Pünkösdfürdő road, leading you to a charming bikelane alongside the river.
As you continue your journey northward, keep an eye out for Luppa Island on your right. You can either lock your bike in front of Ebihal Pub, where the ferry departs, or if you prefer, take your bike with you.
