The area in which the holiday homes are located is known for winter sports and popular hiking trails. In winter, descend from one of the many slopes or walk to authentic Austrian mountain huts. The experienced hiker can even climb to the 2140m altitude. Graz - Austria's second city - is also close by for a nice day of shopping or viewing the historic city center.

Ski area - Weinebene:
The Weinebene ski area is a 10-minute drive from the lodges. The ski area is located between 1580 and 1886 meters and is an ideal ski area for both families and experienced winter sports enthusiasts. Thanks to the many snow cannons, the area is very snow-sure. There are a total of 13 easy, moderately difficult descents. For children there is a ski school and a practice slope with its own lift (roller belt). The ski area consists of 22 kilometers of slopes, most of which are blue and red and has 1 black slope. Historic city of Graz / Shopping in Graz:
Graz, Austria's second largest city, is surprisingly diverse. UNESCO World Heritage and City of Design. With more than 300,000 inhabitants, it is the capital of the state of Steiermark or, in Dutch, Styria. Wine region / Buschenschanken:
The mountainous wine region of Styria/Styria is located in the south of Austria. It is the only Austrian wine region with a Mediterranean climate. Mainly white wines are made. The volcanic soils make them particularly mineral. The Sauvignon Blancs are among the best in the world. South Styria, in which Trahütten is located, mainly produces fresh, white wines. A large part of the 1,950 hectares is planted with Sauvignon Blanc. There is also a lot of Welschriesling, Morrilon (Chardonnay), Muskateller and Traminer. Südsteiermark is Austria's most picturesque wine region, with its rolling hills and slender pine trees. At the same time, it is hard work: The vineyards are located on steep hills, which make mechanization impossible.
A Buschenschank is an authentic and traditional restaurant where their own wine and juices are served and cold dishes are served with home-made bread.
