This historic home is one of my favorite houses I've ever stayed at. It's beautifully restored and decorated. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen has everything you'd need, and it's nice and clean. I love the skylight. I'd say it's even nicer than the pictures. We also loved the charming neighborhood. This house made our large family get-together to celebrate our daughter's graduation even more special.
Beautiful house and great location! Quiet street, but super close to the fun! Everything in the house was great and exactly what we needed for our weekend!
They have done an amazing job with this home. The paintings to the furniture to the wall colors are so perfect! Such a great place to relax.
Michael and Bobby were so responsive. They helped us get in early so we could get ready for the wedding we were in town for. The house was clean, lots of materials to use, and directions were clear. It was very spacious. Highly recommend.
Located in the historic Lafayette Square, the oldest urban park west of the Mississippi. You can walk to world-class restaurants and sip coffee at delicious cafes. Visit nearby Gateway Arch, Forest Park, and Enterprise Center—home of Stanley Cup-winning St. Louis Blues.
Like a picture out of a Victorian novel, Lafayette Park's flowers, natural grasses, towering trees, waterfalls, fountains, and iconic iron bridges provide a peaceful backdrop to the city.
Within Lafayette are craft breweries; specialty shops; Park Avenue Coffee, which features original small-batch blends; quirky and one-of-a-kind restaurants; yoga and art studios; wine, chocolate, and rooftop bars; a lounge; and a must-try ice creamery.
If you're timing is right, you can check out one of many fun annual neighborhood festivities: Antique fair (June); Cocktails on the Plaza (July); Movies in Lafayette Park (summer); Taste of Lafayette (August); Tour De Lafayette/Gateway Cup Bike Race (Friday before Labor Day); Tricks & Treats on Park (Saturday before Halloween); the Holiday Tree Lighting (second Saturday in December); and the Holiday Market (second Sunday in December), which features roasted chestnuts, spirits, and crafts.
Take a walk through the neighborhood and admire the 150-year-old two and three-story Victorian mansions commonly referred to as the "painted ladies," surrounding the lush 30-acre Lafayette Park, the oldest urban park west of the Mississippi. There is something for everyone to enjoy in beautiful Lafayette, just 2 miles from Downtown St. Louis.
The best way to get around is by car, with most highways nearby. You can also use the Metro link light rail system to access many major attractions.
St. Louis also has both UBER and Lyft available. You'll also see lots of Lime and Bird electric scooters throughout the city, so you can zoom wherever you'd like!
