萨柯(Saco) · 整套出租单元 · 2室4床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · ArtBnb in Saco
Welcome to ArtBnb! My husband Tim and I bought this 1920's property in October, and we have gradually been working on setting it up to be our long-time vision of an AirBnb rental/artist's residency. The apartment is a sweet & cozy bi-level 2-bedroom, located in central Saco. Most of the art you see in the space is original work by local artists/friends, and is for sale. We will be adding more pieces as time goes on, so come back to see new work! The apartment is attached to our main house, at the back of the property, with its own private entrance. There is also a solid door with a lock between the two spaces that ensures privacy, but also allows access to us, your hosts, for any questions or just a friendly hello! The first floor has a sitting area with TV and games, a full kitchen, a dining nook with a drop-leaf table, and a full bathroom. Walk up the stairs to find two neatly-appointed bedrooms, one with a queen bed and small work space, the other with three setup options: a twin day bed, two twin beds, or one king bed. (**Please note the size of the space: 450 sq ft. This rental is perfect for 2 people, and comfortable for 3. It is manageable for 4 people, though it will be tight.**) In addition to original art, we have stocked the space with some of our favorite books, board games, and puzzles so everyone can enjoy some r&r! We have a pack-n-play, and assorted baby books/toys as well, for our tiniest guests. (*Please let us know ahead of time if you would like some children's books/toys accessible in the rental & we will make sure to have them ready*) Since we purchased the house in October of 2022, we have been working to beautify the interior of the main house and of the rental. The exterior of the property and grounds will be getting a makeover this spring, so stay tuned! Close to Historic downtown Saco and 3 minutes off the highway, we have easy access to great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, beach, hiking and biking trails, and more. Biddeford, which was named one of America's Next Great Food Cities in 2022, is a 3-minute drive across the Saco River, and home to many delicious, unique culinary experiences. We are 3 minutes from the grocery store, and 10 minutes from Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. A 20 minute drive will take you to downtown Portland with more fantastic restaurants, beautiful galleries, boutiques, and the Portland Museum of Art, a wonderful collection of contemporary and historic works.
Britt and Tim we’re incredible! Very inviting and friendly! Posted recommendations and made us feel at home! 10/10 stay!
Britt and Tim were so welcoming and accommodating to my friend and I when we stayed at their beautiful cozy space ! We especially liked the amazing communication and the extreme thoughtfulness they gave us during our stay! The sweet gift of a gift card to a local pastry shop was so thoughtful and kind and really made an impact on both of us. Thank you so much Britt and Tim! ❤️ McKayla & Rhys
The apartment was super cute and clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend/would stay again.
Apartment was very cute and clean. Britt responded quickly to messages and provided everything needed for a great stay.
We are close to the historic heart of Saco, which has a quaint little main street filled with shops and restaurants. Franklin St is a friendly neighborhood spot, and we live right next door to the Saco Community Center. The Community Center hosts various community events/classes throughout the year, including drop-in yoga classes for $5 two nights a week. The BEST part is the big playground in the back of the Community Center, which kids love to visit!
The closest walking-distance restaurants are a great neighborhood deli, and Bangkok Kitchen, which serves good Thai food and some of the best Pho we've had in the area!
We have space for one car to park in our driveway, immediately next to the apartment entrance. For any additional cars, there is overnight parking available on nearby side streets. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to use a side street for overnight parking, and we will provide details.
There are local bus routes that will take you all around Biddeford/Saco/Old Orchard Beach, and the #60 bus will take you directly into Portland. Please see the house binder for additional public transit information.

My husband Tim and I met in Midcoast Maine in 2007, and fell in love with each other and with Maine. We moved away to NYC in 2010 to pursue job opportunites, but we always hoped we'd have a chance to come back to Maine because we love it here so much. In 2019, a job opportunity came up for Tim that unexpectedly gave us that chance to return! We bought our house in Saco in October of 2022, and have been having so much fun settling in and making the space our own. We are thrilled to offer our rental unit to travelers, and hope they will find it a peaceful, restful spot where they can also feel at home. Tim and I lived for three years in Portland, and for a few years in Midcoast Maine, so we have a wealth of recommendations for treks into nature, delicious food, fun events, cool shopping, and engaging culture up and down the coast. When we moved back to Maine in 2019 with our two kids, we got to know the family-friendly places and spaces here, and are happy to share those with you and your family as well. :) As a documentary editor/photographer, and a fine-art photographer respectively, Tim and I have a decent grasp on the small-but-stellar fine art scene in Maine, and are passionate about sharing it with others!
