I'd like to share my experience staying at Maria's place in Rio with my girlfriend. Our stay was absolutely perfect, and we had a wonderful time there. Maria's house is the ideal place to stay if you're looking to recharge and explore Rio. The building is calm and secure, with guards that made us feel safe and comfortable. The listing is exactly as advertised, and we were pleased to find that the beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, and we were able to cook some meals during our stay. What really stood out to us was how clean the place was. It was spotless, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend Maria's place to anyone visiting Rio!

O apartamento da Maria e da Beatriz é simplesmente sensacional. A Beatriz nos recebeu pessoalmente e foi sempre gentil e disponível para ajudar. O espaço é completo, bem decorado e confortável. Apesar de haver uma área compartilhada na entrada, isso em nada comprometeu nossa privacidade e o uso do espaço. Minha família e eu adoramos, e sem sombra de dúvidas nos hospedaríamos novamente. Recomendamos muito! Obrigado pela hospitalidade.

We enjoyed very much staying at Maria's apartment. The apartment is neat and clean; with all necessary equipment for a family travelling (in terms of bedding, bathroom and kitchen); very well located (walkable distance to subway, taxis available right in front of the building) and peaceful (despite being located on one of the main streets in Laranjeiras). Plenty of restaurants, padarias and other commerce around. The host is helpful and responsive, we had no issues neither checking-in, nor checking-out. We definitely recommend the apartment and the host and will look it up for our future visits in Rio.

In a great, walkable, safe neighborhood in Rio. A great central location in between the tourist stuff more north, Lapa/Centro and the beaches on the southern side (Copa/Ipanema). You can easily Uber your way around and it won't take long. I had a rental car and easily found street parking on a side street a few mins walk. Bonus: You can also temp park your car at the apt building entrance (there's a small driveway) to drop off & load luggage, just tell the doorman.
