great and easy place to stay

We had the best time at Karen’s! It was the perfect place to rest and relax after a 16 hour drive. The space is beautifully decorated and has everything we needed. Karen was easy to work with and very accommodating to our schedule. Bed was comfortable, towels/linens were clean and soft. I was confused by some reviews that referred to the area as ‘sketchy’…the neighbors were very friendly and have the cutest dogs. We came and went at varying times of day and never once worried about our safety. There were kids riding bikes and it looks like a perfectly normal neighborhood to us. We would 100% stay here again if our travels bring us back to Galveston. Our son is on the spectrum and has been saying ‘Blue House…please!’ since we left. He likes his routine and his familiar places so it means a lot to us when he feels comfortable and safe in a new location. The extremely large bathtub most likely helped persuade him! 💙

Very nice and clean place. I would definitely book again. Karen was very nice. I like the location. Everything is close.

Not so clean - there’s stains on the living room carpet, sofa bed and bed sheets… the sofa bed is not comfortable to sleep in the whole night. I found roaches under one of the mattress of one of the sofa beds and there was food crumbs. Blankets are also dusty and dirty. We could have chosen to stay in a proper hotel with the same price.
