Very quiet location, directly under the ruins of a robber baron's castle. Opposite is a farm. Free parking spaces are 50 meters away. There you will also find a charging station for electric vehicles. But you can unload and load in the courtyard. The Maar, the volcanic lake, is only 150 m away on foot. The town center with restaurants (pizzeria and a restaurant with good home cooking and an old pub) is only 300 m away - 3 minutes on foot. Hiking trails lead right past the front door.

Directly above the knight's room are the remains of the Ulmen Castle.
Ulmen is part of the Geo-UNESCO Park, because the Ulmener Maar has now also been chosen as one of the TOP 100 Geo-Heritages worldwide. The tunnel in particular is a sensation that is unparalleled anywhere in the world: you go from one volcano through one to a second volcano.
Germany's most beautiful hiking trail starts right outside the door: The Wilde Endert (to Cochem on the Moselle) and many other themed trails and fantastic hikes can be found in the immediate vicinity.
The Eifel is a paradise for mountain bikers. There is a trail park near Üdersdorf, but countless mountain bike trails lead past fabulous vantage points. Just driving through some forests offers you many different facets of forest, landscape, nature.
A farm is directly opposite the farmer's parlor, including cows, guard dog (which doesn't come out) and tractors.
