This luxurious holiday bunkhouse in the picturesque Afan Valley is the perfect setting for hosting gatherings with family and friends, rejuvenating yoga retreats, and engaging corporate events or special interest groups during the weekdays. It also serves as an excellent hub for action-packed weekends, attracting avid mountain bikers with its diverse array of cycling trails accessible right from the doorstep. Furthermore, it offers exceptional value for the quality and experience it provides. Scandinavian-style bedrooms in a former chapel aisle feature Wiltshire larch walls, floors, and beds in warm tones. The layout of the rooms and bunk beds is carefully planned to maximize the natural light from the windows. The bunkhouse has six modern ensuite rooms, each accommodating four guests in a single bed and a triple bunk. One room has a triple bunk and a sofa bed. In addition, there is one connected apartment within the bunkhouse. The gallery apartment sleeps 6-9 guests and includes a kitchen, dining room, lounge, and 2 shower rooms. The sleeping arrangements include one bunk bed, one triple bunk bed, and one double bed, along with two futons for additional guests, allowing for a total of 30-34 guests to stay comfortably. The Gallery Apartment feature Velux windows for natural lighting and stunning views of the mountains and valleys. The gallery apartment even allows you to hear the nearby river if you open the window. The Afan Forest Bunkhouse offers a luxurious experience compared to traditional bunkhouses, thanks to its architect-designed chapel conversion. The open-plan communal space is filled with natural light and retains many original features, creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the bunkhouse is also environmentally friendly with solar panels and a ventilation system in every room, showcasing its commitment to sustainability. The Afan Forest Bunkhouse features traditional arched windows with seating areas that offer picturesque views of the Afan Valley and village of Glyncorrwg. The chapel's double height allows for a galleried mezzanine activity room, which was once the location of the organ. The focal point of the bunkhouse is the massive dining table, providing a communal space where all guests can gather and dine together. This versatile area also serves as a venue for corporate group board meetings, adding a practical touch to the space's charm and functionality. The Afan Forest Bunkhouse boasts a stylish stainless steel kitchen that is fully equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, and two jumbo washing machines and dryers. The apartment also have it's own kitchen. Guests can enjoy dining together at large social tables or opt for smaller tables for a more intimate dining experience. Additionally, the apartment has its own dining area. The lounge area features plenty of comfortable sofas, with additional seating available on the mezzanine level. The sofas can be rearranged to create a cinema-like setting for movie nights. For guests' convenience, WiFi is available throughout the bunkhouse, with four repeaters connected via Ethernet to ensure a strong signal. Additionally, there are wired internet connections available in five locations for those who prefer a direct connection. While there isn't a dedicated games room, guests can utilize the separate apartment for relaxation and entertainment, making them ideal spaces for children, teenagers, and adults alike. The property is equipped with central heating throughout, supplemented by a Norwegian Jotul model 6 wood burner in the lounge and additional wood stoves in the apartment. Guests are welcome to bring their own logs and firelighters, or they can request them in advance. Bed linen is provided for guests, but it is advisable to bring your own towels for your stay. Outdoor amenities include a small private patio located at the front of the property and fire-pit, offering stunning views of the mountains, valleys, and village. A mountain river flows near the car park, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings and providing a peaceful backdrop for guests to enjoy.

Located in the village of Glyncorrwg in the Afan Forest Park. The landscape is hilly and you can spot some wind turbines in the distance. Approximately 11 miles each to the local towns of Neath and Port Talbot. Port Talbot and the M4 is 25 minutes. Swansea 40 minutes. Neath Valley waterfalls 45 minutes. Brecon Beacons about an hour.
The driving distance between Maesteg and Glyncorrwg is approximately 6 miles if you are driving (approximately a 12 mins drive).
There is a small supermarket in the village. A Tesco Aldi and Asda in Maesteg. A number of supermarkets will deliver to the Chapel, including Tesco and Asda.

There is a bus that comes every 2 hours. Bus stop approximately 2 minutes walk depending on your pace. Free parking onsite. Taxis do operate in the area.
