Kate made me feel very welcome and is very approachable and has a no-fuss attitude. The view over the lake is stunning! The bed is very comfortable. The only thing which was a little negative what’s that there wasn’t a lot of space next to the bed to put the suitcase, etc. there’s a great local bar/ restaurant a 2- minute drive away called “lokal” .

Kate's home is beautiful and has staggeringly stunning views over the mountains. The room is comfortable with a cosy bed and the shared bathroom has a nice shower. The home is on the no. 1 bus line so it is very easy to get in and out of town. Would recommend and would happily return.

View from the living room even better in person. Really comfy bed and peaceful nights sleep, lovely bathrobe provided too. Also nice to have oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee provided too.

Kate is a very responsive host, and her place although shared with her is perfect for a short stay. Kate is a local so she is helpful to answer any questions you may have. I’d suggest having a car as it’s about 10mins drive from town. The views of the mountains are so lovely from the living room and both bedrooms. My only suggestion would be to have a lock on the bedroom door for added sense of security. You also could be sharing a fairly small bathroom space with two other guests. So just bare that in mind, but for the most part it was ok to manage.

Kate's house had a lovely view, especially on the 2nd floor, you can see the lake and the mountains clearly. The kitchen was well equipped, felt like home. Although there were some bugs in my room, it wasn't too much for me to bother. Pretty sure Kate did her best to get rid of them. If you'd like to enjoy the view of the Wakatipu and mountains beyond, this would be the perfect place.
