All in all, Adam was a gracious host! The neighborhood was safe and quiet. The proximity to the nearby plaza, airport, and local food places was a huge plus. The room is very spacious. And the view from the backyard was incredible! Adam was even nice enough to let us take a few mangoes with us :) I'd echo from other reviewers that it would be nice to have access to the kitchen. However, Adam has made it clear that he plans to allow guest access in the future :) If you're visiting Jamacia for a quick stay, Adam's home is a great steal.

Adam and driver met me at the airport for $25. I stayed 6 nights. His home is in a quiet area, it is not a B&B, no breakfast is provided! Only a bottle of water. The Plaza, is a hilly, 10+minute walk even for a fit person. It was inconvenient to exit and enter the home by the long route to the back door. The room was clean, no TV but the wifi was good. No full length mirror in the room, lighting is by lamps. Being a woman it challenged my needs The rules: no eating or drinking in the room, no use of the kitchen. It was awkward and expensive, travelling daily by taxi to buy food. A microwave and small fridge was provided, but I usually don’t eat microwaved food. The bathroom is not on suite it has hot water & soap. I have mobility problems, but had a comfortable stay. I recommend this no frills accommodation for men, who don’t need the little feminine touches. I felt the cost of the room was at a hotel price, without basic hotel facilities. Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben. Positiv war auch die Organisation des privaten Fahrers der immer pünktlich war und sehr sicher gefahren ist. In Jamaika Auto fahren ist bei dem Chaos auf den Straßen und dem Fahrstil der meisten Jamaikaner zum Teil lebensgefährlich. Da braucht es einen umsichtigen sicheren Fahrer.

The house was exactly as seen on the pictures. Adam was very friendly and open to conversation. The room is a nice size and comfortable. We had all the amenities that were listed plus the neighbourhood was nice and quiet. You will need a car or a taxi but everywhere we wanted to go was no more than 20- 30 mins away.
