Should you be inclined toward sporty pursuits, you can start your day by circumnavigating Montefalco with a walk or run on the road that follows the town wall – a 1.2 km round trip.
Montefalco is known for its art, wine production, and cultural events, preserving its historical legacy while embracing modern influences. It is perfectly positioned to enjoy all that is special about Umbrian life with Assisi, Perugia, Spello and Spoleto nearby. Lesser known, but not to be missed, is Bevagna, where La Bottega di Assu’ is an authentic Italian experience for lunch (bookings essential).

Foligno train station is about 15 km from Montefalco where trains run throughout the day to other Umbrian towns, Florence and beyond. There is a bus service that runs to Foligno as well as other towns.
