Nisswa Hideaway is in the heart of Nisswa’s delightful downtown within easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Perfect for group gatherings with plenty of shopping, golf, and nearby lake fun to experience! Bring your own bike (or rent one down the block) and hop right on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Relax in the hot tub while the kids enjoy the treehouse and zip line in the backyard! Roast S'mores by the fire, watch movies on the big screen, or play ping pong on those rainy days. BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS: There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom, plus an additional flex room downstairs. There are 2 bathrooms total. One on the main level and one on the lower level. Perfect for two families to have their own spaces! The downstairs bedroom has a playpen/changing table and a high chair in the closet that can be brought upstairs, or kept folded and tucked away if not needed during your stay. LIVING SPACES: The living room upstairs has a wood burning fireplace that is available for colder seasons (not summer). Downstairs there is a large sectional, huge tv, and an electric fireplace for heat and lighting. It can get warm so watch your little ones to prevent injuries. KITCHEN: In the fully stocked kitchen, there is a giant chalkboard wall which is super fun (and keeps kids of all ages busy:) We have baby spoons and plates as well as picnic type non breakable plates, bowls, water and wine glasses. LAUNDRY: Laundry is available downstairs! Make sure to remove lint and check for belongings before leaving (easy to forget). Currently only one washer and one dryer available. Will eventually have two! HOT TUB: Near the hot tub are herbs that are supposed to help with mosquitoes - and can be used in cooking! You are welcome to water and use them! We provide beach towels so you don’t have to worry about packing those! We just ask that you hang them to dry (and protect the floors from damage). HEAT/AIR: We have a mini-split located near dining area which uses a remote. It is for both (supplemental) heat and air conditioning for those hot summer days! There is a fan that can be set in the hall to push air to the back of the house. And there are ceiling fans as well. When shutting and locking windows, sometimes they slip so pushing up on them while locking in place helps! There are 3 electric baseboard heaters downstairs that do get hot to the touch (behind desk, behind exercise bike, and behind couch). Please be careful by watching young kids to ensure no one gets hurt. GAMES: We offer ping pong in the garage, dart board downstairs, and many other games including board games etc so be sure to check it out! LIGHTS: The light switch to the downstairs flex room is just outside the room. This is also where the office is, as well as another set of bunks. There are great closets for each sleeping space and many rooms have dimmer switches to set the desired light. COMFORT: There are plenty of beds to choose from including 1 king, 3 queens, 1 set of twin bunks, and 2 sets of twin over full. Each bed had a comforter and there are many blankets throughout the house to cozy up with. GRILL: There is a propane grill out back for your use. Please clean after each use so it’s ready for the next people. :) We will be getting a picnic table soon! Dining outside is a must! BACKYARD: The treehouse, tire swings, and zip line are great for kids but we encourage you to watch your little ones. Access to the backyard is through the garage. There are plenty of hooks there and throughout the house to hang towels, etc! GARAGE: Speaking of garage, it’s available for you! Two spaces when ping pong table is folded and out of the way. The driveway is large enough for a couple more cars or a boat should you decide to take it to one of the many lakes around here! ACTIVITIES: Beyond all the fun here, there are countless activities in the Brainerd Lakes area! We have a webpage with some listed there! There are golf courses, mini golf, go karts, a ton of lakes, the Paul Bunyan Trail, and so much more! WORTH NOTING: Nisswa Hideaway is the perfect spot for Girl trips, Golf trips, Family Reunions, Group/Couples trips, Larger families, or…have the whole place to yourself! And while we love hosting gatherings, we do not allow parties. KEYLESS ENTRY: Easy to check in and out.
