Saint Werburgh's · 整套民居 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Contemporary Home & Garden, St Werburghs Bristol
This contemporary period property is the perfect getaway. Situated in the highly desirable St Werburghs, the house is a 2 minute walk to Mina Road with Wiper & True Brewery, fruit & veg shop, restaurants and several great pubs. The back garden gate takes you out to a nature reserve with meadows, panoramic city views and the famous St Werburghs City Farm. Just a 20 minute walk to the buzzing Gloucester Road, Britains longest independent shopping street, and 35 minute walk to the city centre. This Victorian period property boasts a stylish contemporary interior with a clean aesthetic and a natural materials palette. Your experience begins on the romantic street with its bellflower lined stone walls and colourful houses. Take one step through the threshold and an overwhelming sense of calm will wash away any stresses and set you up for the perfect getaway in the buzzing city of Bristol. We are a young couple who have lovingly restored this property, transforming it into a light, spacious and open plan home. Whether it is cooking in the modern kitchen, dining with family and friends or relaxing on the huge sofa in the living room in front of the wood burning stove - this property makes for the perfect getaway. Upstairs the light filled master bedroom has views out over Bristol city and the large bathroom has a fabulous free standing bath and large walk in shower. The good size second bedroom has views out to the garden, and a comfortable pull out bed. The space is dynamic and doubles up as an office space with a generous desk in case you need to work whilst you are away. Whilst the garden is a work in progress, it is a sun trap that we very much enjoy al fresco dining and sunset drinks in. Open up the expansive glazing with sliding and bifold doors that enhance the inside/ outside flow. The back gate in the garden leads you out onto the Narroways Nature Reserve with its meadows and woodlands. St Werburghs City Farm, rolling hills of allotments and Purdown walking trails are just beyond.
I stayed at Charlotte's place for over a week, combining a visit to my nearby daughter with a solo yoga retreat. Nestled in a quiet, charming neighborhood, the house was the ideal setting. The decor is calm and thoughtfully arranged, reflecting the host's design expertise. Every detail, from the color choices to the artwork, is meticulously curated. The abundance of thriving house plants added a vibrant touch, contributing to the serene ambiance. It was an excellent, secure and peaceful stay. During my decades of globe-trotting, I have rarely come across such a lovely setting. This delightful home could easily grace the pages of an interior decorating magazine. True haven for those who appreciate thoughtful, stylish interiors.
The most beautiful place to stay and the most helpful host to have! Charlotte’s guidance helped us with everything from checking-in to getting around the neighbourhood. 10/10 recommended!
We loved charlottes place! Beautifully and thoughtfully designed. We loved the big windows, huge plants, wooden carpentry and peace of the house. Very spacious and even better in real life! A lovely characterful quiet street and in a great location. Very special to stay here and highly recommend.
Charlotte's house is a stunningly well thought out place with so much attention to detail. Everything was clean, modern and well maintained.
St Werburghs is a centrally located and highly desirable neighbourhood in North East Bristol. With a laid back and liberal atmosphere, the area feels like a village within the vibrant and cultural city of Bristol. Right on the doorstep within St Werburghs there is a wonderful array of pubs, restaurants, cafes and vegan friendly grocery/corner shops. The renowned brewery Wiper & True have their flagship taproom, with an extensive range of craft beers. There is even a climbing centre in the church at the bottom of our road and the bouldering centre Bloc is only a 10 minute walk. Just around the corner is St Werburghs City Farm which makes for a enjoyable trip to see the animals and enjoy delicious local produce at the Farm cafe.
Beyond St Werbughs is the buzzing Gloucester Road, only a 20 minute walk away. Here you will find an abundance of restaurants, independent shops, cafes and cocktail bars.
We rarely drive in Bristol as our house is walking distance to most places. Only 35 minutes walk to Bristol City Centre and 40 minutes walk to the restaurants and bars at Bristol Harbourside. If you dont feel like walking, there are lots of taxis via Uber and Bolt that can get you places quickly as well as a city bus/train network.
Free on street parking and the house is accessed up a flight of stone steps.
