We really enjoyed the lakefront cabin and its spectacular views! We spent most of our time fishing and on ORV trails (There are many trails nearby and the fishing was good). Close to town if you would like to enjoy dinner out or ice cream. Very relaxing and the cabin is very clean and cozy. I would definitely recommend!

Daryl’s place was exactly as described! Daryl messaged me mid-week with check-in instructions and things were exactly as described! The cabin is very nice with all listed amenities available! Daryl was a gracious host and my family and I will definitely book again!! This place is truly a slice of Heaven and if you want to get away and disconnect from the busy, daily grind then this is definitely the place for you! Can’t recommend enough!!!

This place was even better than expected. We didn’t pick this place because of the lake, but damn did it make our vacation! It was so peaceful to hang out by the lake every morning and evening. The water was still and the wildlife abundant. We enjoyed people & boat watching. The water was warm for swimming and we got to take a row boat around a small island. We picked this place because it was centrally located to a bunch of places in the UP we wanted to see, but on our free days, instead of exploring the greater area, we just wanted to relax at the cabin. It was that good! Thanks Daryl & Linda for curating such a lovely space!

This quaint cabin has a million dollar view. Sunsets were amazing and different every night. Centrally located. Seemed it was within about 45 mins to every place that we wanted to visit. Daryl was super helpful with any questions that we had. We loved our stay-myself, my husband and our 3 kids ages 2-6. We are so grateful to have found this gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and really enjoyed being on the lake and watching the sunsets! It was in the perfect location to go see a variety of sites. It was about an hour to Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls and St. Ignace. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us (although only one bathroom). And the kitchen had basic pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. to fix your own meals. There are a few general stores close by in Curtis, otherwise have to go to Newberry about 30 mins away. There’s also a cute bakery that has fresh cinnamon rolls and breads called Helmer House Inn. Daryl and his wife were very nice hosts and pleasant to talk with as well.
