Come relax in this serene private cabin in the woods, steps from the beautiful and clean Saint George River. Enjoy the birds, go fishing, swing in the riverside hammock, or read in the screened in porch. The river has brook trout and bass, and you can fish right on the property. Great home base to unwind or to explore mid coast Maine. Trails to water also connect to the Saint George Conservancy's "Fisherman's Pool" trail, which is popular with locals for fly fishing. This wooden cabin is newly built from local lumber and includes a sleeping loft with a double bed, a daybed, a butcher block counter with stools, and a furnished 10x10 screened porch. The cabin rental includes a coffee and tea bar with kettle, a covered picnic table, and a riverside fire ring and hammock. The outdoor kitchen includes a one burner camp stove, kitchen basics, and a foot pump sink for washing dishes. Cabin has electricity for lights and phone/laptop charging. There are plenty of books and good phone coverage for internet use. There is also a small battery fan and rechargeable batteries. New this year...a composting toilet with solar light and fan and an outdoor hot shower ! The daybed can be made up as a couch or bed. Please let me know what you prefer. The sleeping loft is accessed via a sturdy ladder with handrails. I provide you with drinking water, a kettle with coffee and tea, camp stove, dishes, and an outdoor sink for washing dishes and hands. You are welcome to bring a cooler or I can provide one if needed. Camp stove must be used outside. All bedding and towels are provided. No smoking or vaping in the cabin or screened in porch. Wifi is spotty at best. I have provided the log in, but it does not work consistently. I plan to improve this in the future.
