The home was beautiful just not much privacy

Lila had thought of everything. This was by far, the most at home me and my family have ever felt away from our own house. It is a beautiful place cosy but spacious and bright. The area is so peaceful. loads of wildlife you can watch through the large windows in the lounge, that has privacy film on so you don't scare away the squirrels that played outside. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, both fully stocked with good quality toiletries. More than enough towels. Beds were really comfortable. And the kitchen had all the things you need to make hot drinks. All good cleaning products. All good quality electrical appliances.We stayed 16 days, and I normally get home sick after a week but not this time. Had a great holiday with great memories of North Carolina and this beautiful home was the perfect place to relax and recharge so we were all ready for the 8 hour flight home. Happy to face the real world again. Thanks Lila for being so thoughtful and detailed an excellent home.

The house is nice and the location is amazing!!

Do not rent this property if you expect privacy. The large bank of windows along the entire side of the home has no coverings (shades, curtains, etc). The upstairs bedroom windows are also uncovered. The location is not isolated and all activities in the main area and upstairs bedroom are visible from the road at night. This includes both bathroom doors. I contacted host with my concern. She responded that they are aware of the problem but, had “no solution at this time”. I found shades in unopened original boxes in a closet. I offered to install them. The host said it was ok to try but, I was responsible for any damage. Huh? I fashioned curtains for the bedroom using pillow cases and clothes pins so my daughter had privacy. I altered my schedule and left as soon as I could. The host refused to reimburse me for the unused night.
