The Annex is perfectly positioned to enjoy both the hustle & bustle of London & the calm of countryside. A 5-10 minute walk takes you to many local shops, 20+ restaurants, open countryside as well as the station which offers a regular fast 18 minute train to central London Kings Cross/St Pancras. Whether visiting for work or pleasure the Annex offers a convenient, safe and secure base. The RVC, Herts Uni, Harry Potter Studios & the Canada Life Building are all close by/see travel times below. Located in the heart of Potters Bar but tucked away in a private, landscaped enclave, the Annex is one of a small number of exclusive properties in this beautifully maintained and oasis-like setting. Attached to the main residence, the Annex sits peacefully under a canopy of trees from the edging fields and feels like a hideaway. The Studio in the Annex has it’s own private ground floor entrance from the side pathway and has everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. It’s trompe l'oeil design is sure to please and other features include smart technology, easy cooking gadgets (rice maker, egg maker, steamer, microwave) along with a great wifi connection. Air fryer provided on request. The Studio has 2 separate beds, one double, one single.

On arriving Julia had left me a note welcoming myself to the property. We then (myself and my partner) met Julia and she was the nicest person. I can’t thank her enough for her annex and everything she provided. From kitchen utensils to extra blankets and pillows she had everything covered. Would stay here again in a heartbeat thank you so much x
Julia was a great host loved the apartment. Highly recommend and any questions Julia got back to me straight away. And restaurants etc within close proximity and walking distance.
I’m definitely going to come back here for another stay. This place was the definition of cozy, and made this American feel at home, and welcome across the pond.

Potters Bar is a small 13th century town set in the midst of countryside on the border of Hertfordshire and London and just beyond the northern most point of the M25. This unique, rural location is only 18 minutes by train into London and offers second to none speedy transport links in all directions by car, bus, train, tube or plane even.
Potters Bar has much to offer and a hidden gem of Potters Bar lies directly behind the Annex being Parkfield Fields, an area of beauty and historical interest. The name 'Potters Bar' is thought to derive from evidence of Roman pottery discovered in these fields which are situated just a 5 minute walk from the Annex. A must see in Parkfield is the Japanese pond garden and if you are up early enough in the morning you may get lucky and spot a muntjac deer.
