We loved staying in this gorgeous house! It was the perfect pit stop on our motorcycle trip!
Carrie was great always quick to respond and helpful! Here place was very interesting and so much history! It takes a lot of work to keep a historical home up and running to share with others and she is doing a great job in keeping the history to the home still there in her place! We would stay there again if back in the area again with a group.
We enjoyed our stay and thought the house was exactly as advertised. Carrie was responsive and a great host. If we are back next year we will look to get the house again. Thanks!
We had a great stay! A historic house, lovingly restored. There are two vintage pianos, three living rooms and a huge dining room. Plenty of space for lots of people without running into each other.
Louisiana, Missouri is a Mississippi River town, with a population of 3,200 and surrounded by the Missouri's Lincoln Hills. It has many beautiful historic homes with interesting architecture. The Yellow Rose is in a residential neighborhood. It's very quiet at night with the sound of crickets and an occasional train. Louisiana has a bridge that crosses the Mississippi into Illinois. This bridge attracts eagles and fishermen due to the abundance of fish. January and February are the best months for Eagle watching when it is really cold outside. Just North of Louisiana the land is marshy and attracts ducks and duck hunters. Louisiana has nice restaurants and antique and clothing stores. Louisiana has a very interesting cemetery with an amazing overlook and pre-Civil War stones. Down by the Mississippi River front, there is a boat launch ramp and a marina on the Illinois side of the river. The famous Clarksville Apple Shed is 9 miles away. Visit Louisiana MO .com
The Yellow Rose is within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants on Georgia ST and the Mississippi River front. Taking a drive North or South on The Great River Road .com - HWY 79 provides breath-taking views on bluff overlooks. Many residents of Louisiana park on the street near the front door of their residence. There is off street parking if preferred.
