This home was perfect for our first trip of the year to Michigan. It was clean, beautiful, and comfortable with all the amazing amenities. The spacious fenced in backyard was a delight for my dog Raja. Even when it snowed 6+ inches during one of the days, the outdoor hot tub made for a perfect afternoon. The host team took great care of communicating promptly. I would highly recommend staying at this place. We hope to be back soon! Thanks, Philip, Saskia and team!

Clean and put together place. Backyard was beautiful and hot tub was great. Only one bathroom on main floor and you have to go in main room, which is also the door to the beautiful yard, so that made it a little interesting with a sleeping baby while we stayed up in living room. Overall beautiful and very nice area.

Pros: Neighborhood was quiet and location desirable to Douglas and Saugatuck. The Fernwood house was spacious and mostly clean, but it was not "luxury" as promoted. Negatives: (1.) The "lush" yard was fairly unkept. Removing broken ornamental statues and other debris would have made for a better environment. particularly I.e, piled up building materials and old items surrounding the hot tub. Bcuz of this 4 of us chose not to use it. (2.) The old wood steps req'd to access the 2nd floor front door was unlit even w/ exterior lights on at night which made it hard to see & a potential safety issue. Also other walkway wood surfaces were algae covered and slippery in the misty weather, which made carrying groceries and taking our dog up/down unsafe. (3.) The # of emails sent was excessive and unnecessary (and quite bothersome) and really offered little benefit but to continuously hammer home house rules incessantly.

Fernwood Grove was absolutely beautiful! The neighborhood was so peaceful, and the backyard was like your own little oasis! The house was absolutely gorgeous, and came with anything you could think of with the most special touches! If you’re considering booking this location, look no further. Phil was SO responsive and provided a detailed house manual which made the process so smooth. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much.
