There’s a separate study, lovely lounge with fireplace, and a sociable eat-in kitchen leading out to the deck and garden. Add in a fab position close to eateries, local transport to the City and waterside walks and you’ll agree it’s ideal! We love the way this cute home marries character with modernity and style. With just two small steps to navigate up to the front door, this delightful single level cottage offers accessibility, style, a terrific location and is pet-friendly. Retaining its heritage character, the property has high kerb appeal and the period touches continue throughout the modernised home. From the front door, floorboards run the length of the house to the back kitchen and garden. The two well-appointed bedrooms are situated either side of the hallway at the front of the house, both with Queen beds and overhead fans and one with built-in wardrobes. The stylish decor continues into the separate study with desk and the lounge, which boasts a gas fireplace, TV and comfortable seating. The sofa bed offers the option of an additional single bed should you need it. The kitchen and bathroom sit at the rear of the house. The kitchen has been stylishly modernised and is well-equipped. It includes a dishwasher, microwave and a coffee machine, and there is a table and chairs seating 6. This looks out to the deck and the landscaped garden. Comfortable outdoor sofa seating and a dining suite sit on the lower tier and a few steps lead up the grassed area, secure and perfect for children to play. Enjoy a wine and relax in this delightful space. The bathroom is also newly renovated and has a shower and separate bath tub, vanity and toilet. Revel in the underfloor heating in winter! There is also a heated towel rail. All linen is provided. The washing machine and dryer are tucked away in the bathroom. With ducted air conditioning throughout, WiFi and street parking, plus the added advantages of its fabulous location, this home is sure to provide everything you’ll need for a great staycation close to the city.
This was an amazing place to stay, a home away from home. Street parking was convenient and there were ample spots available. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes and pubs and there was a grocery store close by as well. We loved staying here and will definitely look to stay again next time we’re visiting.
My family really appreciated their stay in such a well appointed house which was close to all the amenities. Even the parking was better than we expected and as I am a local myself I do know what an issue this is. I did leave a detailed list of minor items which needed your attention and this is no reflection on the quality of the house , just to help you maintain the standard. One thing that surprised me was how quiet the location was, being only one block from a very busy road. And the garden is lovely. Thanks for having us. Jan.
Fantastic home with everything we needed. Laundry liquid/powder supplied for the washer and dryer. There’s a pull out sofa for an additional guest which we did not use. Central heating and cooling throughout. Lovely garden in the back to relax. Free Street Parking easy to find directly in front of the home. Convenient location with a car.
Rozelle offers a great location to enjoy Sydney in quiet and friendly surroundings. Cook Street is an ideal oasis, being a residential road just around the corner from Darling Street. Hotels, restaurants, cafes and pubs are all within an easy walk. From Thai, Indian and French restaurants to Totti’s On Evans St, there’s so much choice for eating out. Local bakeries are a great go-to and there is a nearby grocery store, an IGA and a Woolworths Metro.
Walk to Balmain and explore the local boutique stores, stop for a coffee or head to one of the popular pubs for an early drink. For further retail therapy, pop over Iron Cove Bridge to Birkenhead Point.
The bus to the CBD is just a short walk away and gets you there in under 20 minutes via Darling Harbour and the Fish Markets. So many tourist attractions are all easily accessible.
Enjoy the riverside walks just to the north of the property. There’s a playground if children need entertainment and it’s a great place to take your furry friend. Head down to Balmain ferry stop and take the ferry to Circular Quay. It’s all on your doorstep!
