This place in one word is serene. A private gated drive provides not only security but also a very private and quiet environment to enjoy. You feel 100 miles away from everything but in reality are 10 minutes away. The cabin itself was quaint, well stocked, with all of the amenities thought of and even things like snacks which were an additional bonus and a surprise when we arrived. The large pond with Dock was beautiful. The owner/manager made sure to have fishing gear ready for us, including bait. Everything was thought of and more. The owner was very responsive. We had one minor issue with some water. It was fixed quickly and in a timely manner with great communication. The largest common area of the house is actually a screened in porch, which was well furnished and well thought of it was a little bit chilly a couple of those nights, but with a few blankets we made it work and had a good time. Overall an excellent experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Blue Heron, we have stayed twice now and it will definitely be our home when we are in Laurel. The hosts are very intentional, not only with their home but also with the people staying there. They are very quick to respond, very kind and helpful. We love being there and it’s always hard to leave.

My wife and I booked The Blue Heron for a little anniversary trip. The lake is what sold it for me, we both loved the pictures of the house. I will say that pictures do not do it justice. It is beyond beautiful if you love the country feel. When we weren’t out exploring Laurel, I was fishing the lake. Caught several bass, a couple over 6-7lbs. I didn’t feel like cleaning fish on our Anniversary so I released them all back. The host was very responsive with any and all questions that we had. Overall it was an excellent trip and we definitely plan on booking it again. Thank you for offering such a wonderful place.
