Wanda’s place is beautiful. Loved sleeping there after a very long flight from Washington to Cape Town and then I arrived late to Durban South Africa. Wanda was very kind to let me stay and I was so grateful not to have lots of stress my first night back in SA. Wanda is a gem.

The place matches the photos and amenities match the description. I had a decent stay overall. There was not electricity for the first day I checked in and the issue was fixed at around 8pm but an hour later the electricity tripped due to the rain storm so I only got electricity the next day and for all of the rest of my stay. There’s a noticeable smell of urine that hits you when you first enter the room, which is probably due to a smoker having smoked in the room before. The smell was unpleasant for me and hit me the minute I walked in. There was also a few seeds on the kitchen floor so I’m not sure if the place was completely cleaned before I checked in. You also can’t do laundry at the place unless you pay them and you have to inform the host 24 hours before. The location is not that great if you don’t have your own car as it seems Uber drivers don’t accept trips from this location. The host is great and very friendly and responsive.

Wanda is an amazing host. The place is beautiful and very peaceful. I’ll definitely be going back next year. You literally have everything you need. Back up lights and mini gas stove in case there’s load-shedding. If you are not familiar with the place like I was, there’s a list of everything you need to know about the place.

Wanda's place is perfect for a cosy, home away from home. great for work visit and just a relaxed visit in the bluff.
