Kerr Cottage was a peaceful, private, scenic base from which to explore Skye. We enjoyed staying in this cozy, renovated crofter’s cottage with beautiful gardens. Stuart was a friendly and responsive host. As others have noted, the location is a little remote and on a single track road.

Lovely, we had brilliant 🤩 weather and able to go exploring all day. I had ruptured my Achilles a few weeks ago so was glad of the bath 🛁 We had lunch out and a light dinner at the house so we could drink alcohol, mainly gin 😂 the bottom of the gardens great to sit in the early evening. Was an ideal location, we went to Armadale, then Elgol for a boat trip. Raasay by ferry ⛴️ a trip round to kilt rock and ferry glen. Then Skye sea safari at Portree we were treated to hundreds of dolphins 🐬 On the whole a great holiday for having an injury.

House was comfortable, quiet and peaceful in a beautiful location. Great to spot a Sparrowhawk right outside the window on top of the bird feeder.

Kerr Cottage was a lovely base from which to explore the Isle of Skye. We loved the beautiful garden and felt very at home in the cottage. Stuart was a very friendly host who even located a Monopoly set for our family to play with and bought some buckets and spades for us to use at the beach. The cottage was well equipped for cooking and relaxing, and any issues were quickly resolved by Stuart. We liked the area, and managed a few short and long local walks straight from the cottage, including visiting a beach recommended by Stuart. It is worth noting that the cottage is 15-20 minutes away from local shops and amenities, which can add on to journey times and is not always convenient. But it does make it very peaceful! We had a lovely time on Skye, thank you Stuart.
