Gwendraeth Lodge is a cosy, self contained space that sits peacefully on the hillside of Wiltshire’s Chalke Valley. Surrounded by beautiful farmland, you can throw open the doors for a fabulous view, step out into fabulous walking territory, or take the pretty 4 mile drive into Salisbury’s medieval city centre. Not only are we close to Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral, you are a mere 30 minute drive from Dorset’s Jurassic coastline and Hampshire’s New Forest National Park. Gwendraeth Lodge sits in the garden of Huminga House in Homington village, just off Homington Road. On arrival, you have your own designated parking space and will find your keys in the lockbox. You enter through a gate which leads you along a pathway (that is occasionally shared with the property owners), and as you wind around to the front of the building, your private garden, patio and Lodge await your peaceful stay! You will find a comfortable living area, merging into a fully equipped kitchen and dining space. All perfectly designed for 2 people to admire the view. There is a large TV and fast internet connection which is useful for both leisure or business trips. The cosy bedroom has a double bed, pretty vanity area and ample space to store clothes in a chest of drawers or on the hanging rail. It’s the perfect space to sit up in bed with a coffee and watch the world go by. The bathroom is a ‘Walk in wet room.” There is a powerful, electric shower which hides behind the shower curtain and a vanity unit to store all of your bathroom goodies. You will find your washing machine in the laundry cupboard, along with a laundry basket, iron and miniature ironing board. In the garden, you’ll also find a washing line with pegs. Your garden area is a glorious sun trap. You have a small dining set, bench seats and even a dog sitting on top of a weather vain to tell you which direction the wind is blowing! There is always a stunning view, especially in the evening, so you might as well enjoy a meal or two with the sunset.
